Living with Host

What does this mean?

A warm and comfortable place to stay. Waterloo Lodge is a lovely 1821 stone house set back off the road in Bramley. Owner occupied, we have been accommodating theatre and opera performers for thirty years. The accommodation consists of a double bedroom and sitting room/kitchen on the first floor of our house, plus own bathroom with shower on the second floor. The rooms are quiet and overlook the secluded garden.
The flatlet has a fully equipped kitchen, TV, free wifi and bedlinen are provided, but bring your own towels. There is shared use of washing machine and dryer.

Guest Parking

There is ample off street parking in the large driveway.

The Area and Transport

Situated in the west of Leeds in the ancient township of Bramley, we are some 5 miles from the Leeds Playhouse and the Grand Theatre. A number of good bus services serve the area. Journey time by bus to city centre is 25-40 mins, depending on which bus you take. There is a train station one mile away offering quick access to Leeds (8 mins) and Bradford (15 mins) city centres. Leeds has good cycle lanes and we are close to the canal which can also be used as a cycle route into Leeds. Bramley has several parks and plenty of opportunities for walks, with a local nature reserve nearby.

Just the absolute loveliest digs host ever. They were so incredibly clued up about how to be digs host - everything from the gorgeous set up of your own space (separate kitchen/living room to your bedroom), to the perfect amount of interaction and friendliness whilst respecting your space. I would be back there in a heartbeat.

A very comfortable and quiet couple of rooms with everything you need, sharing a landing with the hosts. Clean, compact own bathroom up a couple of flights of stairs.
Liz and Michael are the perfect hosts - friendly, helpful, fascinating, and happy to leave you to your own devices.
A great sanctuary for a couple of months.
