Located in Edinburgh's new town , opposite Calton Hill.
You have assess to a private walled garden.
Edinburgh Playhouse theatre is less than 5 minutes walk from the room.The other theatres are walkable. Public transport ( bus, tram, train ) are all very close.

Parking is not particularly easy.There are a few free and some paid parking spaces in the area

Dear future guests, In case you haven't already heard, we wanted to give you a quick heads-up about a new scheme coming into effect in Edinburgh.

The City of Edinburgh Council has introduced a Visitor Levy (sometimes called a "Tourist Tax"). This means that from 24th July 2026 , all paid overnight stays in Edinburgh will be subject to an extra charge of 5% on top of the accommodation cost.

The levy will only apply to the first 5 nights of any stay.

This fee will be payable to the host directly and not through the Theatre Digs site.

The host will then pass on 100% of this to the City of Edinburgh Council.

We are advised that more details will follow and we will update you as we learn more.

Had a lovely stay in Michaela’s home. Great sized room, clean and she was very accommodating with the temperature changes of Spring. So close to the theatre and shops.

Michaela is such a lovely host and the room is spacious, warm and very comfortable. She is quick to reply to messages and so accommodating. Thank you for being so welcoming and sharing your lovely flat with me. I stayed here for nearly a month over the xmas period and would be back again in a heartbeat. 4 minute walk to the theatre, and close to all shops.
