Living with Host

What does this mean?

We live in a 3 storey Victorian house very close to the centre of Edinburgh. No car required as most places are within walking distance. We are 5 minutes from the lovely green space of the Meadows. A pleasant walk takes you to the Royal Mile with Edinburgh Castle at the top and Holyrood Palace at the bottom. Lots of bars and restaurants between these 2 iconic buildings.
We have 2 double rooms with a shared bathroom on the top floor which are available to rent. As itโ€™s a shared bathroom this may appeal to a group of 4.

Can be flexible about numbers and dates. However remember there is only one large bathroom with shower and bath. At less busy periods we only let out one room with private use of the bathroom.

The rooms are on the top floor and there are 42 steps to climb! They are carpeted and safe with a good bannister but you need good mobility. Will keep you fit!!

We welcome guests to use our large kitchen/dining room for cooking and socialising.

No smoking in the house. As this is our family home we do not allow our guests to being visitors into our home.

Access to the garden is available.

No pets.

This space is shared with 2 Hosts and 2 other paying Guests.

2 double rooms with a shared bathroom. Can be booked for a party of 4 or for individuals. On top floor of house so quite private. Both rooms can be locked from the inside. There is a kettle in each room and teas and a coffee machine in the hallway for use by everyone.
There is a fridge in the kitchen diner for guests to use. The kitchen diner can be used for food prep and a large table for eating at.

Excluded Facilities

The rest of the house is for sole use of the owners. The garden may be used by guests.

I highly recommend Pauline!! She and her husband Ronnie were incredible hosts: always very kind, responsive, attentive, a truly delightful couple. Their home is gorgeous and the location was perfect for a busy Fringe-y like me โ€“ a quick walk to any venue! My colleague stayed in the second bedroom next to mine โ€“ we had the entire top floor to ourselves with a dreamy bathroom with standing shower AND a separate, roomy bathtub for some much-needed Epsom salt baths. I would gladly stay here again!
