Self-Contained
Small, beautiful house with one double bedroom, in a quiet, pedestrianised, garden laneway within a fascinating corner of London. Complete use of the house and access to a shared communal garden. Great transport access to London and 30-40 minutes from most theatres.
Guest Parking
It is a residents parking permit area but parking is free after 6.30 pm every evening until 8.30 am and all day Sunday. There is a reasonably-priced car park 100 yards away or non-residential street parking about 6 blocks or approximately 10 minutes walk away.
The Area and Transport
It's the best of both worlds: my street is quiet, charming and full of flowers, but the wider Peckham Rye area is incredibly vibrant, full of restaurants, cafes, independent shops & a unique night life with an open air cinema (as well as London's cheapest cinema, Peckham Plex) & a car park that hosts world class concerts through the summer as well as numerous bars & clubs. It's one of London's most popular weekend haunts, with a farmer's market, flea markets & any number of pop-ups; in short it's a really buzzy area with the benefit of being only 30 minutes from central London. Peckham Rye station is on the Windrush Line as well as South Eastern & Southern train lines. It links directly to London Bridge, Victoria, Clapham Junction & Blackfrairs & then onto the tube network. West End & Soho theatres are a 30-minute journey away (10 minute train to London Bridge/tube to Charing Cross ), as is the Royal Court (15 minute train to Victoria/1 stop on the tube) & Victoria theatres.
