Living with Host

What does this mean?

Both bedrooms are warm, spacious and well presented. You have your own flat screen Smart TV, hairdryer, iron, iron board, luggage rack, Alexa Dot, chair, fan oak wardrobe with hanging space and hangers. Superfast Wi-Fi and we have most of the lights operated by voice command via Alexa, instructions have been left in your room, hallway, fridge door to assist you in light voice commands. We live on site and will respect your privacy. Guests can also enjoy:

A spacious family lounge with leather sofas, flat screen television, Netflix and Amazon Prime in the lounge, a range of international DVD films, wi-fi throughout

A fully equipped kitchen dining area - please tidy up after yourself when preparing food, we have a dishwasher for your use. Please wash any pans that you use and wipe down the work surfaces, we have spray and paper towels available for you to use. A private decked and gravel garden with patio furniture. You have your own key provided at check in.

Guest Parking

On street parking. I have a disabled bay as I am a blue badge holder. Park on the road and surrounding roads for free

The Area and Transport

The house is located in a well connected neighbourhood for the beach, promenade, parks, theatres, coastal walks, bike trails & a range of local restaurants & shops. It is also well connected for road, rail, bus & ferry links. I am happy to make any suggestions and personal recommendation for places to eat, visit etc. My motto is come, breathe, relax, enjoy.

This space is shared with 1 Host and 1 other paying Guest.

You have access to your own bedroom, guest only bathroom shared between two guest bedrooms, lounge area, kitchen dining area and rear garden should you wish to either enjoy the sun or go outside for a smoke. No smoking is permitted indoors. You will have your own food storage in kitchen and fridge too. You are welcome to use the lounge and watch TV.

There is a guest information book in your room , with information such as wi-fi code, how to use/access equipment etc, put in place to enable you to have a relaxed stay with all the information you need at your finger tips. A map of the local area and a range of tourist information is available to help you plan and get the most out of your stay.

Excluded Facilities

Top floor shower room is for our use only. No access to home office or homeowner bedroom. Guests are welcome to watch television in the lounge and use the kitchen.

Other rules

Always ensure the external doors and windows are locked when going out. This is for obvious insurance conditions on our property and also for security.
Never leave the front door key in the lock, if it closes behind you will not be able to get in as it automatically locks.
Shoes are to be left by the front door.
Place rubbish in bins provided and ensure they are emptied as required, including the shared kitchen bin top the external green bin and recycling bag to external grey bin
We have most of the lights via Alexa, instructions have been left in your room, hallway, fridge door to assist you in light voice commands.
No overnight guests or pets
No smoking/vaping indoors.
No candles or incense burners to be used in rooms to reduce fire hazardWe have a grab rail outside the front door, should guests with mobility issues require it, in addition handrails up to your room and also down to the kitchen.

Highly recommended Digs. Gail is the perfect host. Always professional & available should you need anything. Beautiful house only a 20 minute walk from the theatre. The spacious double bedroom made for a very comfortable stay. (The free parking was a bonus.) Thank you so much for having me again. I look forward to coming back. Best Jason

Gail, is the dream host. I stayed in the house for 6 weeks over the panto season and couldn’t recommend it more. Gail is so generous and welcoming into her home. It’s a short 10-15 minute walk to the theatre which is ideal.
