Living with Host
A freshly painted double bedroom with blackout blinds and a very comfortable double bed in a characterful 2nd floor apartment with two bathrooms. Holters Mill is in a quiet and safe area with no traffic noise, just the sound of trains.
The bedroom is on a mezzanine floor with some lowish beams, so you need to be okay about ducking these if you're over 5'4". I'm 6'1" and have managed this fine for 15 years.
Guest Parking
Although I have only one parking space and use it, we can discuss your parking needs. There's free parking in various locations 5-10 minutes' walk away and paid parking very nearby. I may be able to shift my car to free up the allocated space and sometimes my daughter has my car in London.
The Area and Transport
Holters Mill is a 4-minute walk from Canterbury West Station, a 10-minute walk to the Marlowe Theatre (3 minutes by bike), and a 25-minute walk to Gulbenkian Theatre. It’s a 3-minute walk to the Farmers Market, which has a bar, café, deli, bakery, greengrocer, butcher, fishmonger, restaurant and beer and wine stalls.
There’s a Sainsbury’s down the road and Westgate Towers is an 8-minute walk away. There, you have access to the beautiful Westgate Gardens, many cafes and restaurants, the High Street with everything you’d need, and buses to the Gulbenkian Theatre and Whitstable (seaside).
