Located within walking distance of shops, supermarkets, and all amenities, this apartment is the whole of the ground floor in a large detached house. 58 square meters. It is 2 miles from the City Centre and the Leeds Theatres and the bus stops right outside the premises.
It is completely self-contained with 1 double bedroom that sleeps two. It has a large lounge leading onto a patio, it's own bathroom with BATH and SHOWER, full gas central heating, it's own fully equipped kitchen including laundry and ironing facilities, and all the bedding , bedsheets, and towels are provided free. This type of accommodation is sought after because unlike hotels, guest houses, or just rooms, our apartments have the advantage of being self-contained and private, and they are virtually a home away from home.
The Tops was established in January, 1980 and is the longest established provider of Theatrical Digs in Leeds. All of our aparments have been graded 3* by the English Tourist Board.
Guest Parking
The Guests have the use of the gardens and our own private car park. Because of the excellent bus service and the fact that the bus stop is right outside the premises, Guests are welcome to leave their cars in our car park and go into town on the bus saving expensive car parking charges in town.
The gas and electricity is no longer charged by coin meters. The mains meters are read on arrival and departure and the costs are calculated according to the rates that we pay our suppliers only.

This is a great set up with good transport links, Merton was lovely and very communicative. It’s spacious and well furnished, however I would suggest just a couple of things: a 4 way by the bed, new towels and bedding, and a few amenities like washing up liquid. Also perhaps a bit of a carpet clean as the smell is, frankly, of old people.

This was my second time staying at The Tops. Merton is the kindest, friendliest gentleman and he even remembered me after over a year and a half. Digs really don't get better than this. It's a FULL self contained flat plus parking and a garden, that truly is home from home. You're a 5 minute walk to a large Sainsburys and 20 mins on the bus to the Grand. The value for money is UNRIVALLED. Merton will always be my first port of call when I'm in Leeds. ALL the stars! HIGHLY RECOMMEND Xx

Lovely home. Great if you drive if can commute by bus ( very close to property ) would have loved basics availiable ( salt pepper etc ) but a lovely home i shall be returning too. Gas and electric separate but fair in this economy

Merton’s flat is cosy yet spacious. It has everything you need and is fully functional. There are many shops, supermarkets and cafes nearby, and a bus stop mins away with many bus routes to the town centre. If i’m back in Leeds, i’ll check this place first. Please note you’ll have to pay additional fee for gas and electricity.

It was a pleasure to return to The Tops apartment after 35 years. Yes, furnishings & decor are very dated, but the apartment is a great size and has strong WiFi, smart tv, washing machine & dryer and is superbly equipped. Merton is a true gent and communication was superb and he was more than helpful with info about road closures on marathon day! It’s great value for money compared to many places. I would only suggest that utilities are included in the rent. I’d definitely stay again.

If I could live there I would!I had a lovely weeks stay everything you could need cooking utensils , plates pots pans . Clean and tidy and the bed so comfy. A nice bath for a soak. I will be there staying there again for sure thanks so much Merton :)

Very nice apartment in good location - bus stop right outside with a half hour journey into central Leeds. Friendly host. All necessary facilities. You will need coins for gas and electricity meters.

Good parking at The Tops and excellent bus connections to The Grand, with supermarkets and local shops close by.
Attractive garden with sun trap for drying clothes.
Interior decor old fashioned, (and could use some new pillows) but, quite well provided for in terms of appliances (washing machine, dryer, fridge-no dish washer). and kitchen equipment.
Friendly, helpful landlord.
