Living with Host

What does this mean?

We have two double rooms available in a detached five bedroom house. One is downstairs and the other upstairs. These two rooms share a bathroom. We have our own bathroom, so do not use this bathroom.

We do not have any pets but we will have a new baby in the house from July 26.

You will have use of the kitchen and all the facilities along with use of the washing machine.

There is a fridge freezer specifically for use by the two rooms and you can also have a kitchen cupboard each.

We live on the river and you would be welcome to use the garden. If you are someone that likes to be on the river you would be able to bring a paddle board and make use of the river. If you are a swimmer you would also be able to swim in the river. If you use the river you do so at your own risk.

The Area and Transport

We are a 20 min drive from The Theatre Royal Windsor.

We are a 20 min walk from Staines Upon Thames shopping precinct,

We live on the river thames which is at the bottom of our garden.

Staines train station is a 6 min drive and a 24 min walk from our house and you can get the train straight to Windsor Train Station. You can get a bus from our road to Staines bus station and the train station is a 2 min walk from there. Buses 446 and 456 take you to Staines bus station.

This space is shared with 4 Hosts, 1 child and 1 other paying Guest.

The two rooms share a bathroom but you do not share this bathroom with us as we have our own.

We do not have locks on the bedroom doors but we do not enter your room without your permission.

You would share the house with myself, my husband, our daughter, her partner and from July 26 their new baby. As we have two rooms for rent you would also share with the other renter.

The kitchen and utility room are shared but you will have a fridge freezer for use by the two rooms as we have our own. We also provide a kitchen cupboard for each room.

Excluded Facilities

We prefer to keep our living room for our use but we have invited guests to watch a football or rugby game if we are watching them. This does not mean that you cannot come into the room as we are always open to chat.

Other rules

Please remove your shoes when entering the house.

There are bins for recycling, refuse and food waste in the kitchen. Please use these. A bin will be provided in your room. Only empty these bins into the indoor bins, not the ones on the driveway.

Smoking is allowed in the garden, but please dispose of your buts responsibliy.

Please make sure that doors are closed quietly because other people in the house may be sleeping,

If arriving home late, please be aware of people sleeping and keep noise to a minimum.

If you use the kitchen, please clean up after yourself. We do have a dishwasher, which you are more than welcome to use. If it isn't full, don't turn it on, as we will add to it.

Because the bathroom is shared with you and one other person, we do provide cleaning products, so please use them.

Bedding is changed, and your room and bathroom are cleaned weekly with your permission to enter your room.
