Living with Host
The Den is located in a converted loft space in our modern, detached family home. It comprises a comfortable king-sized sofa bed, large TV with surround sound, digital piano and armchair. Along the landing is your own private bathroom comprising shower, sink, mirror and toilet. There is hanging space next to the bedroom. The bedroom is heated in winter and is well ventilated in summer. It also has blackout blinds to keep it nice and dark on summer mornings.
The rest of the house is the home of me Marcus, my wife Caroline, and our daugher Polly. During university vacations our eldest daugher Jemima lives here too. You'll have to share the kitchen with us but I'm sure we will all manage. You'll have your own kitchen cupboard for your own food and space in the fridge and freezer. We are outgoing, sociable people but if you want your own privacy, that's fine. Either way, we think you'll enjoy staying with us.
We have one cat so if you are allegic to cats, this home is not for you. We don't allow smoking in the house. The den is on the second floor so you'll need to be able to climb up two sets of stairs.
The house is on a modern housing estate in Hook, Hampshire. The nearest performance venues are the Princes Hall, Aldershot; the Anvil, Basingstoke; the Haymarket, Basingstoke; the Camberley Theatre; the Hexagon, Reading; the New Victoria Theatre, Woking; and the Maltings, Farnham. Hook is on the mainline to London with stops at Woking, Farnborough (for the Princes Hall) and Basingstoke. Reading and Camberley are both 25 minute drives away.
Payment is weekly in advance by bank transfer or cash.
