Living with Host
Located in the heart of sunny Southampton, our Theatre Digs offer a spacious double room with a comfortable bed, ample storage in cupboards and drawers, and a huge window with a roller blind that lets in plenty of natural light, all while showcasing stunning sunset views. Enjoy use of the shared bathroom, kitchen, and communal areas, plus all the facilities you need for a relaxing stay. Fresh towels and bedding are provided, and free on-street parking is available. We also have a fantastic self-tape setup and equipment, as we’re both working actors, so we’re always available to help with readings or let you use the equipment. Just a short walk to the theatre, you'll have easy access to rehearsals and shows.

Our Theatre Digs are located on Foundry Lane in Shirley, Southampton, offering a peaceful yet convenient base for your theatre stay. Just a 20-minute walk (about 1 mile) from Mayflower Theatre, you'll have quick and easy access to your performances and rehearsals. The walk to the theatre is pleasant, with plenty of local amenities along the way, including cafes and shops.
For those looking to use public transport, there are excellent bus links nearby, with multiple routes passing through Shirley High Street, just a short walk from the digs. Southampton Central Station is also within a 5-minute drive, offering fast trains to London and other destinations.
If you're driving, free on-street parking is available, making it easy to explore the area or travel further afield. Whether you're walking, using public transport, or driving, our location offers great convenience for all your travel needs while staying in sunny Southampton.

David & Kira’s place is great and an easy 20 minute walk from the theatre! I would highly recommend this to anyone looking for a home away from home! Lovely hosts and would definitely stay here again :)

I had a lovely stay here. The room was great and the bonus of the guest living room was lovely. It was easy to get to and from the theatre either by walking or the busses. And taxis weren’t expensive either. I would happily stay here again.

Genuinely couldn’t ask for more from hosts and digs. So chilled, friendly and helpful. Gorgeous house and room. Easy walk to Mayflower. If I’m ever looking for Southampton digs again I’ll be trying to get booked as soon as possible before anyone else does!!!! Thank you both! Xx

Had a wonderful time staying with David and Kira, they have a lovely home and are very friendly. Having your own living room space really helped to unwind after the show

A very comfortable stay in Southampton. The digs are an easy 25 minute walk from the theatre. David and Kira were very friendly and welcoming. Though I didn’t use it there’s a lovely garden that guests are free to enjoy. If you like swimming there’s a brilliant little local pool literally a 5 minute walk from the house.

David and Kira are wonderful people, and that's reflected in their home. Clean, bright and spacious, the most comfortable bed I've ever slept in, period, and a sunny terrace in the garden to decompress. Easy walk to the shops on the high street, but incredibly quiet and peaceful at home. Cannot recommend it enough!
