Living with Host

What does this mean?

We live in a detached three bedroom bungalow which is in Silsden, a small countryside town close to Ilkley and Skipton, on the doorstep to the Yorkshire Dales. We share a private driveway with another bungalow, owned by a super friendly elderly couple. There is ample parking space for guests.
We can offer a double bed in a comfortable double room with a wardrobe. The room looks out onto our south facing, private garden. Guests will have sole use of the main bathroom and can use the ensuite shower during the day and early evening. Our guests are free to use the kitchen, lounge and garden areas. Visitors are welcome but we would like advance notice.
All we ask is that guests be aware that they will be sharing the house with two very friendly cats and a dog but, of course, the pets will not enter your room.

Guest Parking

There is ample parking on a private driveway.

The Area and Transport

Silsden is a 30 minute drive from Bradford city centre or a 30 minute train ride from Bradford and Leeds. Our local train station, Steeton and Silsden, is a 25 minute walk from our house or a five minute drive. There is free parking at the train station.
The popular towns of Ilkley and Skipton are only 10 minutes away by car and we are close to the Yorkshire Dales and the The Lake DIstrict.

The guest's bedroom has a lock on the door and so does the guest's bathroom. We invite our guest to settle in to our home and enjoy the facilities including the lounge, kitchen, conservatory and garden areas.

We are happy for our guest to use our ensuite shower any time except for when we are asleep.

Exceptional digs in Skipton, both Mathew and Dave are wonderful hosts, extremely accommodating and incredibly friendly, communication has been outstanding, couldn’t recommend any more

Wow,

What an amazing team.

Honestly the best experience, they said treat this as your home. But, they made it my home away from home.

Bring an animal lover and having the benifits of their cats and dogs helped with missing mine.

Thank you both for an amazing experience. Especially during a grueling schedule.

(Extra mile getting my bread one datly, and flu drugs another.)
