Living with Host
Your double room overlooks shared garden. It’s a two bathroom house so I use the shower (tho more often than not shower at the gym) but I also have my own bathroom and bedroom upstairs so don’t use your loo. We do share an open plan kitchen living room. I also have roof terraces.
Guest Parking
Permit parking nearby (I have resident vouchers but would be about £10/day - not really suitable for someone with a car therefore) and some metered parking.
The Area and Transport
Bus stop directly outside the house with five routes going into town. Brixton Oval and Stockwell tubes all 12-13 mins walk. Nice Vegan cafe and bulk store practically next door. I walk into town every day and it takes me 48 mins to Covent Garden. Co-op almost opposite. 10 mins to Lidl and three Tescos within 5 mins walk. Nice parks nearby too (Eythorne, Myatts Fields, Brockwell, Burgess and a small one just a block away).

It’s a private home - none of the doors have locks apart from the entrance to the flat and the entrance to the building. I have two bathrooms so only use the shared bathroom for occasional shower tho mainly I use shower when I go to the gym!

Other rules
You’ll be clean, tidy, keen to recycle, including food waste. I’d prefer a vegetarian but not a deal breaker and important that you’re quiet out of consideration for neighbours. I work in theatre too so my schedule is erratic hence no fixed get in and get out and availability - depends on my schedule too! No smoking or vaping. I might be able to accommodate an overnight visit by arrangement but I don’t want to share with more than one person so it would be a one-off type arrangement.

Elaine was an absolute pleasure to stay with! She made it very easy to find the place and was so incredibly welcoming the entire time, which really made me feel at home during my stay. The digs itself was cozy and just a lovely place to wind down. Would love to stay with Elaine again when I'm in London again!

A lovely 6-week stay in Elaine’s beautiful and convenient apartment. The guest room is facing the garden, so very quiet, which is in added bonus in this part of London. Elaine was a wonderful host - kind and very accommodating. Thank you!
