A stunning studio flat right in the heart of Bloomsbury, with an exceptional roof terrace and amazing views. This unique top floor flat is in an A1 location in Central London. It is right next door to Russell Square and opposite Russell Square tube station (Piccadilly Line). There are an abundance of shops and restaurants on the doorstep. It's a 2 minute walk to The Brunswick Centre (with its array of shops, bars, supermarkets, cinema and restaurants), 10 minutes walk to King's Cross and 15 minutes walk to Covent Garden and the rest of the West End.
The block is a beautiful example of Edwardian architecture and is very well maintained. The carpets in the communal areas are all cleaned once a week and there is stunning stained glass up the stairs. There are only 14 flats in the block so it’s very quiet and feels very safe. There is also a small lift. The building is purpose built so there is great sound-proofing between the flats with concrete floors. This apartment is on the top floor with no one above or directly to the sides, so you can sing to your hearts content (within reasonable hours).
The flat is located on the top floor and is very well laid out. It consists of an entrance hall with lots of storage, a large living room (with a high ceiling) that has been cleverly divided into three areas. There’s a fireplace on an exposed brick wall that gives the flat the feeling of a New York loft, a separate sitting area and dining area and a cute mezzanine sleeping area that is accessed by some stairs and comes complete with Moroccan style shutters. At the top of the stairs is a platform with a permanently fixed wooden ladder, which takes you up to the stunning private roof terrace. This overlooks the roof tops of London and really is a Mary Poppins moment. There are handrails all the way round and hedging has been installed to add privacy. This is the perfect place for sunbathing or exercising in Central London. There is a bench and a small table and chairs and you can clearly see St Pancras, the Shard and St Pauls.
The flat feels spacious and airy because it has large double glazed windows throughout, but it also has a feeling of privacy as it is hardly overlooked being on the top floor. There is a separate modern kitchen with all the appliances (including a freezer, washer/dryer and microwave) and a stunning bathroom with a Japanese soaking tub for tired performing legs and overhead shower.
This is a quirky, unique property right in the heart of Central London, unlike any other. It has just been completely re-decorated. It is fully furnished and bills are included.
