About these Digs
Self-Contained
There are 2 ensuite bedrooms plus 1 bedroom which has exclusive use of the bathroom. These are separated by 1 floor. The rooms are all of a good size. 2 of the rooms have their own food stations, which includes a fridge, kettle and cups. The kitchen diner is for the use of all guests and is well equipped including a fridge freezer, microwave, toaster, kettle, coffee machine, washing machine, cooker, heated clothes airer, pots, pans & crockery for use of guests.
I live entirely on the ground floor of the house in my own self contained space, so it is rare for me to see guests, although we do occasionally 'bump' into each other as we come in/go out of the same front door.
The living room on the first floor is for the exclusive use of guests and has comfy sofas, a TV and occasional tables. The views of the reservoir from this room and the kitchen are stunning, particularly at night when you can see the lights from the city centre reflected on the water.
Guest Parking
There is free parking available on the street. No permits!
The Area and Transport
The house is in a quiet residential area. There is access to Edgbaston Reservoir, which can be seen from the living room and kitchen, as well as from Bedroom 2.
At the end of the street is a bus stop which goes to the City Centre, this journey takes approximately 10 minutes. The return journey is the same.
The canals are within walking distance and are a lovely way to get into town, as well as to The Rep, The Crescent, Symphony Hall and Town Hall. Car journey's into town take approximately 6 minutes, depending on traffic and time of day. Lidl is within walking distance of the house and we are well served by other local shops and a variety of take aways. The best bit though is definitely the reservoir, it's so pretty. Particularly if you can get up early and check out the sunrise, it can be stunning.

I loved Rebekah’s place. It has the perfect combination of being self-contained - kettle and fridge in the room, own bathroom - but also exclusive guest access to a large well equipped kitchen and a beautiful lounge overlooking the reservoir. You can walk into town along the canal - it takes around 30 minutes to the Alex. There are lime bikes to hire and frequent quick buses into town. Ubers are quick and cheap too. Free snacks too! Highly, highly recommended.

Wonderful stay at Rebekah's digs for the week! I chose bedroom 3 which is on the top floor and has an ensuite, fridge, kettle and lots of storage. The kitchen and living room (and bedroom 2) have a gorgeous view of the reservoir and it was a lovely place to walk. The 80 bus from the end of the road takes you almost to the door of the Alexandra, and ubers back to the house were £6-£10 depending on the time. The kitchen is kindly well stocked and Rebekah was fab to communicate with - thank you!

Really enjoyed staying here. It’s a 3 bed self-contained house and I was there on my own at the time so had loads of space but there’s loads of space anyway and all rooms are spacious and tasteful. The house was spotless, light and comfortable. Rebekah had provided everything you’d ever need and there’s a huge kitchen. Great comms from Rebekah and a delightful 30 min walk along the canal to the theatre. Very happy week here.

Always a great stay! Fabulous walk 25min into the city down the canal. Really well equipped kitchen and if you’re a runner the reservoir is perfect. 5k twice round.

This is a great place to stay and Rebekah is excellent with communication and answering any questions. It is about a 35 minute walk to the Hippodrome but a simple route and the property is really clean. The en suite bedrooms are ace and the kitchen is very well stocked.

Rebekah and the digs were amazing! Great communication and she really went above and beyond (having guest only kitchen and living area- leaving snacks and essentials in kitchen and having a fridge in room 3). Uber is super cheap back from city centre and I managed to walk to the rep in just under 30 minutes! Will definitely return! (only thing is wifi wasn't very reliable so if staying longer could've been an issue but host said she was having the same issue that week)

Digs were easily accessible to birmingham rep by bus. Had full text of information before arrival which was much appreciated! Stocked kitchen with all the equipment you need for cooking and a very comfortable bed. Great stay, would highly reccomend!

Definitely one of the nicest digs I’ve stayed in. The room was so lovely and the kitchen and living space was such a bonus. Rebekah left lots of groceries in the kitchen which was so helpful and generous. It was quite busy for street parking but I just found a space on day one and then uber to the Hippodrome and home which was super cheap and easy so it was perfect! A great stay!

Another great stay here. Rebekah was very accommodating with my change of plans and the house and room are lovely. It’s an easy bus ride in and most of the week the Ubers were fairly cheap. Thank you for my second stay.

I had an excellent stay here, I highly recommend it! Room 1 on the first floor, is large with a desk, chair and en-suite. It looks on to the road, but it’s still quiet and peaceful. The great addition of the guest kitchen and living room have wonderful views across the reservoir. I used Uber to travel in and out, which was cheap and easy. It’s terrific to relax here, away from the madness of central Birmingham and Rebekah is a fantastic, generous host, leaving many little extras for her guests!

Had a lovely stay, the communication from the host was incredible and they room was very clean. Not a negative but worth noting that the bathroom for the guest not in the en-suite room is a level below that of the bedroom. Overall a very good digs will gladly stay here again

Loved staying here. Was left to my own devices which I always like the most. Lovely clean en-suite room. Comfortable and cosy. A little far from town for some people but I loved my 40 min walk in along the canal and treated myself to a cheap taxi back though there are regular buses that run. Loved staying here and would stay again. Thank you

Absolutely fantastic stay at Rebekah’s house. Having an en suite, a tea station and small fridge in the room, AND a separate kitchen makes it feel very private and homey. A direct bus downtown is at the end of the street and takes about 10-15 mins, and a lovely walk along the canals is about 40. Rebekah was extremely helpful and communicative, thought of many helpful details, and clearly takes pride in keeping the place clean and comfortable. I would stay again in a second!

I had a lovely stay at Rebekah's. She was so kind and welcoming. She bought a new microwave part way through my stay as the old one had signs of age. The room was very comfortable and came with a TV. A bit far from the theatre, takes about 45 mins walk by the canal to get to The Alexandria. But there's also a bus stop just down the road. Thanks for the lovely 2 weeks Rebekah!

Absolute 5/5 stay. Great room (second floor). Had our own kitchen separate from host which is nice as I never like to be in someones way. I only saw Rebekah once whilst here! Kitchen was fully stocked, a lovely touch. Will stay here again when I tour. Thank you Rebekah.

Rebekah is a fab host. Lovely big, clean spacious room with en-suite bathroom. Lovely big kitchen too with a view of the reservoir with Cosy living room. It has on street parking and it was never a problem to find a space. It was a 30 minute walk along the canal to the rep and between £5-£8 in an uber back. If you have a car it was a 6 minute drive into the theatre. Great value for money and Rebekah was super helpful and a lovely person. Locks on the doors and everything you could need is there

Pleasant stay in room 1 in Rebekah's house. Well-equipped kitchen and great to have free on-street parking. Ensuite in the room is quite small, perhaps not suitable for very tall/large people. Room 1 overlooks the road, so doesn't have the views of the lake, and the (narrow) road can be a bit of a rat run in the mornings, with associated noise. Rebekah was helpful when I needed to change my arrival date, and with into about how to check in.

I had a very comfortable stay here. Rebekah was extremely helpful with a couple of changes that I had to make with dates and very welcoming. It’s about a half hour walk into the city centre along the canal. I never used the bus but they seem to run regularly and it’s easy enough to get an Uber or Bolt home at night. Overall a very pleasant experience and a lovely view of the reservoir from Room 2.

Had a lovely stay in these digs. Quiet, clean, warm, comfy bed, ensuite bathroom and a big kitchen and living room which is just for guests. There's a late night convenience store at the end of the road and a supermarket less than a 10 minute walk away. Rebekah was very friendly and welcoming as well. Highly recommended

Excellent digs, though I didn't see Rebekah very much her communication leading up to my stay was excellent and nothing was left to chance. Rebekah clearly wants people to enjoy their time with her and the extra touches of snacks, welcome milk and juice went a long way after travelling to Birmingham. The house is a 20 minute bus ride from the Hippodrome and Uber fairly cheap if you're in a rush. Lovely digs and brilliant host!

Staying with Rebekah was a doddle. 20 minute bus straight to the Hippodrome (well,just round the corner), Lidl is a 10 minute walk up the road and corner shop at the end of the road (they’re a tad pricey!). Having the reservoir on your doorstep is wonderful. It provides gorgeous views, wonderful walks and a good park run. The rooms are cleaned every week, the kitchen and lounge are great and Rebekah is warm and welcoming. I would happily stay here again. Thanks Rebekah!

My favourite digs of the tour thus far, truth be told! Bright, clean, spacious, incredibly comfortable… and with a delightful view over the water. I believe other rooms were en-suite, whereas I made use of a spotless bathroom (with bath tub!). Thoughtful touches - and there were many - included snacks provided in the kitchen, which was very welcome. Easy bus routes to the theatre, too. Admittedly, WiFi is practically non-existent on the top floor, but works like a dream lower down. A true gem.

What lovely digs!
Rebekah is a superb host, there were a few provisions to get you started which was a lovely surprise, and the room was extremely comfortable with a great little en suite.
Great communication from start to finish.
It’s a 35/40 walk to the Hippodrome down the lovely canal or there is a bus service at the end of the road if you don’t fancy it.
Would highly recommend and would happily stay again.

Was very happy in my room here. Had its own little bathroom. Was sharing the upstairs of the house, which has its own kitchen and a lovely living room with a view of the reservoir, but I never saw the other two guests.

I had a lovely big room with ensuite, and with the kitchen and lounge available to guests, it was a very comfortable stay. Rebekah had even stocked the kitchen with all the basics you could need. The walk to the Rep was fine - approx 30-35mins. I did the canal on the way in, then stayed on the main road on the way back so it was very straightforward, and busses run from the bottom of the road as well so an easy commute. Rebekah was so welcoming, friendly and helpful and I will be back when I can

Rebekah’s property is perfect. Extremely easy to find with on-street parking right outside the door. The walk down the canal into the centre is also a great way to start the day. Both the communal areas (kitchen and living room) were spotless and extremely well equipped. The bedroom was a lot larger than I expected with an en-suite, fridge and food prepping space, not to mention the comfy bed. It has everything you would need in a digs.

I lucked out with these digs!! Rebekah’s place is AWESOME!! She went above and beyond, providing bread, milk, OJ, crisps etc; just to get you started before you shopped :)
The room was beautiful, stunning view, hot powerful shower, spacious guest kitchen and living area, spacious bedroom too.

Lovely room - plenty of space and a really cosy bed. The snacks were a nice surprise. Easy walk along the canal to the theatre, and really convenient bus route which runs late.

Fantastic room, in a lovely house. Everything you could want in your digs. Kettle & fridge in the room, a lovely en suite & a great bed. Use of the lovely kitchen one floor down as well. Rebekah was a great host. Very friendly & communicative but also happy to give you space to enjoy your stay your way.
Location was perfect if like me you enjoy a good walk… it took me 40-45 minutes to walk in to the Hippodrome, mostly along the canal. But there are regular buses if you’re short on time

Rebekah was a lovely host and went above and beyond to make sure I was comfortable and happy during my stay. Communication was easy and comfortable throughout my stay and I would absolutely stay here again when working in Birmingham

Lovely accommodation with great views over the Reservoir towards the city centre and in a very peaceful area. Rebekah was very welcoming and communication was great throughout. Really appreciated the welcome snacks.

Rebekah's digs were lovely, super clean and nice quite space. Parking was easy. The room had everything you could need for your stay would stay again thank you!

Had a lovely stay in Room 1 which had an ensuite bathroom. It was spacious and warm. The kitchen had everything you would expect and Rebekah had helpful stocked it with a few basics. The views from both the kitchen & living room were great. I was working in the jewellery quarter 40min walk or 25-30mins with 2 buses. Taxis to New street area are relatively cheap (£5-7) or just one bus. I would happily stay again.

I had a lovely stay, Rebekah is communicative and the house is kept clean and tidy. The reservoir and park nearby were nice to walk around when the sun came out. Parking is all on street parallel parking so sometimes finding a spot took a while if the street was busy. If using the bus make sure you give yourself plenty of time as it sometimes didn't show up and was often delayed. It also occasionally terminated early meaning I had to wait for another to get into town.

My stay with the lovely Rebekah was so much better than I could have hoped. The home is near the reservoir and the canal that leads you directly to The Rep, so there are brilliant walks nearby. The house was perfectly clean, the bedroom was impeccable and smelled amazing with a comfortable bed, lock on the door for privacy, a fridge and kettle. It felt like a home away from home. She even left me milk, bread, biscuits and other bits to get me started! I'll be staying here again. Thanks Rebekah!

Absolutely loved this place - the reservoir behind is like Central Park, do take a walk down there and a nice greasy spoon on the other side. Lovely view to reservoir from top back bedroom (the one that's not ensuite) plus your own kitchen and lounge and milk and coffee and treats. Will def book back in if back in town :)

Rebekah was an amazing host, communicated everything really well. The room was clean, tidy, and cleaned weekly. It was only a short drive into town which was perfect for me, would definitely recommend and 100% stay here again!

Never been to Birmingham and didn’t feel safe taking the transport so the taxi was an extra cost that I didn’t accounted for… lovely room and house

Sorry you didn’t feel safe walking to the end of the street to the bus stop. I’ve never had any issues when I’ve done it. I am sure it would have been ok, it’s well lit and is only a 2 minute walk.

The room and all the spaces were lovely and very clean, super comfortable bed, worth dragging my suitcase upstairs for! Multiple easy bus options into town and a Lidl almost 10 minutes walk away. Rebekah was a generous host, gave me space but was quick to respond to any questions. No complaints, would recommend!

This was a dream stay! Rebekah is incredibly warm and friendly whilst respectful of your own privacy. The accommodation was OUTSTANDONG! Large kitchen with all the mod cons you could need and a separate residents lounge (with a gorgeous view of Edgebaston reservoir), which meant you weren't living in your room. ON TOP of all this a 20 minute bus ride into the city centre! I can't recommend these digs HIGHLY enough, and I shall DEFINITELY be returning. Thank you Rebekah for the LUSHEST of stays x

The perfect place by a really lovely park.
The house is incredible with a lovely with and breakfast included.
Nice service with bus or Uber.

I loved my stay there! The house is beautiful and very spacious. It is right by the reservoir (lovely view and walk!) and 3 minutes away from the bus stop which takes you to the centre in minutes.
Rebekah was extremely welcoming.
Would totally recommend.
