My home, which I will share with you is on a quiet tree lined road in Chorlton. There is small Asda across a main road within walking distance and a Co op a little further, bikes are available if you would like to borrow one.
The house is a short walk from the heart of Chorlton, a 30 minute walk or 5 minutes in a taxi to Beech Road. Burton Road in Didsbury is closer and is a 15 minute walk. Both are very desirable areas with shops, restaurants, bars and cafes.
The rooms on offer are newly decorated in a modern style. The beds are comfortable and the street is quiet and you will get a great nights sleep. There is a wardrobe with lots of space to hang your clothes. There is Wi-Fi so you can watch TV on your own device, there is no TV in the room.
I change the beds once a week and change the towels twice a week. For your own security and peace of mind, your room will be lockable.
There is a washing machine, I do not have a dryer but clothes can go out on the line if it is a nice day or on the clothes maiden, ask me if you need to use.
The bathroom is shared but I will work around you and use when you are out. There is also a downstairs toilet.
I do not allow overnight guests, I rent out 2 rooms and do not want the house to feel too overcrowded.
I have 2 cats, they tend to keep themselves to themselves, they will not have access to your room and if I am away a neighbor will feed them.
I offer a warm welcome and will answer any of your questions about Manchester or the house. In terms of house rules, take your shoes off before going upstairs and leave on the shoe rack in the hall. Please keep the kitchen clean and tidy, put your dirty pots in the washer after rinsing. Feel free to use herbs and spices from the cupboard, I have lots available. We can agree timings for when the kitchen is available to you, for example between 8 and 10 in the morning and maybe 6-8 in the evenings, I offer flexibility around your work schedules and I will leave you alone when you are preparing food.
There is plenty of parking available on the street.
In terms of transport the bus stop is only a 5 minute walk, buses are regular (101, 102, 103) are regular and go into town passing near the Contact Theatre, the Palace, Bridgewater hall, Home, Royal Exchange and the Opera House. The tram stop is a 15 minute walk.
