Living with Host

What does this mean?

Spacious double with en suite shower room in our large family home. Quiet room at the back of the house with a comfy chair and blackout blinds.

Mayflower and MAST are both 20/25 mins simple stroll. Beautiful Southampton common directly opposite is ideal for walks/runs/headspace.

Local shops and cafes within 10 mins walk.

Of course you are welcome to use the kitchen which is part of a large open plan space at the rear. Coffee machine and washing machine also available.

You'll be sharing with a family of four, including two school age kids, but we don't make a lot of noise. We're happy to chat or let you enjoy your own space as you wish. We have no pets & are non smokers.

Driveway parking available and plenty or unrestricted road parking too.

The Area and Transport

Great location right opposite Southampton common. Mayflower and MAST can be walked in 20-25 minutes, or the 18a goes from right outside our house to both every half hour. There are also hire e-scooters available very nearby.

Phil and family are a delight, super friendly and interesting. The room is spacious and quiet, the en suite great. Use of the lovely kitchen if needs be.

It’s a half hour walk to the Mayflower theatre or I used the Voi electric scooters which you could pick up a 5 min walk in either direction. Bus also from pretty much opposite. Recommend.

Phil and Maria's home is big and beautiful and they couldn't have been more welcoming. The bedroom is big, the bed very comfy and has its own ensuite. There is a wonderful large common right opposite the house to sunbathe/walk around and the Mayflower is a 20 minute walk away. Space made for your food in kitchen and a great coffee machine. Would highly recommend this place.
