West Didsbury is a safe and desirable area of family and professional housing.My house has large,high ceilinged rooms and although no garden as such,there is an attractively designed patio area to relax in.
Guest Parking
The estate is permit controlled.This means that I issue you with an online permit and you can park on any road on the estate
The Area and Transport
The house is located in a n Edwardian estate of cul-de-sacs in a desirable South Manchester suburb.There is no through traffic and offers a quiet environment despite being within walking distance of bars and restaurants. Round the corner from the estate are a range of takeaways.
There is a good value council swimming baths/leisure centre 5 min walk away,
I am only a 90 second walk to Burton Road metro stop which serves city centre theatres (direct in 20 min) and the Lowry(30 min,including a line change)

This space is shared with 1 Host and 4 other paying Guests.
I am away a lot and the house can be accessed via a keysafe.I live alone and have an en-suite bedroom in the loft.The middle floor has two double bedrooms and a very small single bedroom.I rent both double bedrooms to theatre guests only.Although 4 is the maximum number,it is very rare for rooms to be booked for two people.Occasionaly I may have a friend staying in either a double or the single room.If guests have a family/friend coming to see them,I am happy for them to stay overnight in the guests bedroom for the double room rate or in the single room for a nominal sum.There is a large shared bathroom with shower and freestanding bath.
The ground floor has a spacious dining/kitchen area where guests are invited to spend as much time as they like,and where there are patio doors to the back.I have learned over the years of hosting that most guests want to come and go as they please,with few demands on their space and time.I respect that,

Guests can arrive any time they want,using the keysafe if I’m not in.Checkout is any time,unless another guest is expected early in the day,which is unlikely.I expect guests to be clean and tidy within shared areas and to rinse out and recycle in appropriate bins.I appreciate guests who take their shoes off when they come in….but as I forget myself,I don’t expect it.I have a dishwasher that’s broken,so it’s handwashing dishes I’m afraid!.I have a cleaner once a fortnight who will clean a guests room if they want.Bedding and towels are changed fortnightly.
Individual cupboard and fridge space is provided as well as washing machine tablets.An air dryer is available for each room to use in the bathroom or bedroom,or a washing line outside.I’m happy to put washing out and bringing when dry(or when it rains!)There is a good launderette 5 min walk away.

This stay was truly a home away from home. Patsy is an extremely kind host, super responsive, and a truly lovely person. The room is spacious and homely, the mattress super soft, which I loved, and the bathroom is divine. The area is great too. There is lots to do and everything you need on the high street, and the tram stop will get you anywhere in town in just a few stops. Truly perfect.

Had a very pleasant stay with Patsy. The room is very comfortable and spacious. The metro is a short 3 minute walk away as is a local Tesco express and everything you might need. Have 0 complaints!

The best digs in Manchester! Patsy is so lovely & accommodating, the bedroom & bathroom are spotless and so cosy! I would definitely stay again & cannot recommend Patsy’s lovely home enough!

Enjoyed a wonderful stay in Patsy's lovely home. The house is gorgeous and bright, and has everything you could possibly need. The nearest tram station is also only a short walk away, and is incredibly convenient. Patsy herself is also so lovely, and highly welcoming. Thoroughly recommended to anyone heading through this way!

Loved my stay in west didsbury. Very well connected with the tram which I got each day and loved Manchester in general. Pasty and Emma were super helpful and friendly but respected space and boundaries too. Lovely warm house and I had a guest and stayed an extra night which patsy helped me out with at last minutes notice. Kitchen readily available and washing machine. Overall Very happy with my stay and would stay again! Thank you patsy!

Truly the best digs stay I've had! Patsy and Emma were so welcoming, the facilities were spot on and they were both no end of help with suggestions and input through the ups and downs of working away from home, a genuinely glorious stay with fantastic people and will certainly jump at any opportunity to return!

Definitely hit the jackpot here! My first tour and I started right, Patsy's home is lovely. The bedroom cute and clean. The bathroom fresh and new. I loved chatting with Patsy she's so lovely! Easy walk to tram. Was sad to leave, felt like home.

I stayed here for over a month and Patsy's is a really lovely place to stay. A cleaner came very regularly and Patsy was often on holiday so you had the place to yourself. Really easy travel into central Manchester. Would absolutely stay again!

Great digs. Patsy is lovely. I've done 2 single night stays here now whilst working at the Lowry. Parking outside and approx 15mins drive from Lowry. Would recommend.

Patsy is a lovely host and her home is immaculate and incredibly quiet. It was the perfect place to rest my head after a long show day. Getting to the Lowry is easy enough with two trams which are frequent and very easy to use. Would recommend!!!

These are one of the best theatre digs I’ve stayed in. Lovely house, spacious room, beautifully decorated, immaculately clean. Patsy is a great host: warm and welcoming, but also sensitive to giving you your own space. A real home from home.

A wonderful stay in Patsy's lovely home. Great location for tram into the city and an Uber home on a late night doesn't break the bank. Patsy was a wonderful host - there when needed but otherwise left me to it. Would stay again anytime.

Lovely host! Made me feel so welcome for 5 weeks, the house was really clean and tidy. Brilliant commute to The Lowry only one tram change and a short safe walk to the station and theatre. Would stay again!

Patsy has a beautiful home and is a wonderful host. The large rooms are on their own floor with private bathroom and everything has been decorated immaculately. I cannot recommend highly enough.

Had a wonderful stay with Patsy. She was super accommodating (had to change my arrival time a few times). House is just 5 minutes from the tram stop and Burton Road where you can find wonderful independent restaurants, bars & cafes. Highly recommend.
