What does this mean?

Relax in the lounge in front of the TV (Google Chromecast included) or with a good book. Free WiFi Included.

Enjoy a home-cooked, microwave or takeaway meal in the dining room which adjoins a workstation/bar with power/USB sockets.

The fully equipped kitchen includes a gas hob, oven, microwave, washing machine/dryer, fridge and freezer, kettle, toaster, crockery, cutlery, pans and utensils.

Upstairs, the double bedroom is furnished with a comfortable double bed, bedside tables with lamps, hanging space, shelves for your clothes, a full length mirror alongside a power socket & double light diffusing blinds.

The second bedroom has a single bed with a bedside table and lamp, hanging space, shelves, a full-length mirror also alongside a power socket & blinds.

The bathroom has a full-length bath with a lovely rainfall-style power-shower, sink, toilet, heated towel rail and electric shaver socket.

An iron, ironing board and hair dryer are included.

Guest Parking

There is free on-street parking right outside the front door and to the rear is access to a private outdoor area where you can sit in the afternoon sunshine and/or enjoy a smoke/vape (not in the house please).

The Area and Transport

A quiet location just 20 minutes from central Liverpool and just a one minute walk to local shops (including an Aldi), takeaways, medical centre, bus stop for the city and a beautiful park. The nearest railway/metro station (Birkenhead Park) is just a 10 minute (800m) walk.

The house is situated across the River Mersey from Liverpool so the city centre is only walkable via the ferry. However, access is superb either by car (10 minutes - via the Mersey Tunnel), by bus (407 or 437 - only 17 minutes and you also get to go through the famous Mersey Tunnel) or by local train (9 minutes). Fares are very cheap and weekly/monthly tickets are also available. The last buses/trains back from the city are between 2345 and midnight and taxis are easy to find. The Empire, Everyman and Playhouse Theatres are, for example, less than 25 minutes door to door.

The Floral Pavilion in New Brighton is just 14 minutes drive or 35 minutes by public transport (bus or local train).

This space is not shared with anyone else.

This is a two bed-roomed house so whilst booking both bedrooms will cost more, it will represent a substantial saving between both guests. Please select "2" Guests when booking if you wish to book both bedrooms and "1" Guest if you wish to stay alone.

The house is completely self-contained and you (and your colleague if applicable) will have full access and use of all parts of the house plus access to the rear outside area. Feel free to smoke/vape in the rear outside yard but not in the house please.

An additional guest (sharing the double bedroom only) is welcome at an additional nominal £10 per night. Please let me know if you require additional towels.

Everyone is welcome at my digs. Please be aware that there are steps up to the front door and as it is an Edwardian property some people may find the inside staircase a little steeper than more modern houses. There is also a small step between the landing and bathroom and between the dining room and kitchen. Both the front and back doors have low (but not flush) thresholds. Please get in touch so we can discuss your needs.

There's absolutely nothing to fault with this property. This was my second time staying on this tour. It's a simple drive to New Brighton and the buses to Liverpool are regular and quick. The immediate area has everything you could need, including the beautiful Birkenhead park.
I'll be staying nowhere else whenever I'm in the Liverpool area!

Thoroughly enjoyed staying here. Jonathan and his partner Samantha met me at the house and were super welcoming and friendly. They were very conscientious about privacy and our comfort and we had everything we could have needed. Would absolutely stay here again, can’t recommend it enough! Thank you so much Jonathan!
