Living with Host

What does this mean?

I live with my husband and an affectionate Jack Russell in a Regency townhouse on the south side of the river, a 15-minute walk from the Theatre Royal. We are committed to supporting the arts (I work as a writer and psychotherapist). Theatre guests enjoy exclusive use of the top floor, with a , spacious and super-comfy double bedroom, blackout blind, bath-shower room and tea and coffee-making facilities. Downstairs, there's also a wet room, washing facilities and exclusive use of a fridge if you need it. Use of the kitchen is by arrangement. If you have any specific needs or requests, please ask!

Guest Parking

There is free parking on Bathwick Hill, which is the arterial street from which you reach Darlington Place.

The Area and Transport

18 Darlington Place is a Regency townhouse in a peaceful cul-de-sac on the southern side of the city. Darlington Place leads off Bathwick Hill. An excellent independent coffee shop and supermarket are two minutes away. It's a short and beautiful walk into the city and to the theatre. For country lovers, we're on the edge of Bathwick Fields, a National Trust area of outstanding natural beauty where you can walk to the famous Bath skyline, with spectacular views.

Beautiful home and as there was no other guests I had the top floor to myself , easily walkable to the theatre royal bath and on busy roads so I never felt unsafe walking home at night . Only thing worth stating is that you can’t park outside the property and instead have to park at the top of quite a big hill - might be a bit of a pain if you’re needing to access your car daily

The loveliest room in a very beautiful house! A little bit of a hill to climb on the way home but worth it! Tessa and Duncan were very welcoming, as well as their lovely dog too!
