Living with Host

Available is a double room with a king size bed for an individual in my home, which is a Georgian flat in Edinburgh’s historic New Town. You will also have use of the kitchen and there is a shared and newly renovated bathroom.

Edinburgh Playhouse is a 10 minute walk, with the Festival theatre about 20 mins walk. The Lyceum, Traverse and Usher Hall are 30 mins away (and its all downhill on the way home!)

Parking is by ticket Mon to Fri and expensive, but there is free parking within a mile. Parking is free at weekends. There is a great bus and tram service 5 mins from the flat and the bus and rail stations are about 10 mins walk away.

No smoking or pets, but I have a friendly dog which of course will not be permitted in your room.

Jackie was a wonderful host and has a lovely flat. She was always very accommodating, friendly and helpful. Great location - an easy 20 min walk to the Festival Theatre.

A wonderful stay. Jackie was friendly and accommodating (and her gorgeous dog was a bonus!). Around a 25 minute walk to the Festival Theatre but felt very safe. Very clean, comfortable and convenient.

The room was very quiet and clean. Jackie was so kind, respectful and lovely. The location is about a 30 min walk from the festival theatre but passes so many great shops and coffee places! I cannot recommend enough!

I had a brilliant stay with Jackie, she was super friendly and helpful and the room was spotlessly clean and comfortable. Everything was as described and had everything I needed, and it was lovely to be greeted by her beautiful dog each day. Would definitely recommend and would stay here again myself if ever touring to Edinburgh in the future!

Quiet flat, easy walk to the playhouse. Felt very comfortable in the flat, barely saw eachother but it meant that it felt like having the place to myself. Jackie was very welcoming and her dog was adorable!

Fantastic digs. 15 minute walk to both the train station and The Playhouse.
Large room with a double bed, shared bathroom with a shower/bath.
Kitchen facilities all good too.
Jackie was wonderful, and has a gorgeous dog too!

Had a lovely stay here with Jackie whilst in Edinburgh. The room was large with a very comfortable double bed. Easy 10 minute walk to the Playhouse. Jackie also has a friendly dog, who was pretty quiet and very cute! Would happily return again, thanks!

Jackie is a lovely host! I had a great 5 weeks stay! The location is about a 10-15 min walk to the playhouse, Jackie always helped me when I needed it! She always made sure I was happy in the house and I slept amazingly whilst I was there.

Jackie provides some of the best accommodation I have had. Like herself the place is warm and welcoming. Nothing is too much trouble, it’s an easy well lighted walk to The Playhouse and very quiet considering it’s so close to the action. Will return!
