I’m renting out a room in my welcoming, newly refurbished flat in Gateshead – just 10 minutes by bus from Newcastle city centre. I’m an artist and currently finishing my PhD at Newcastle University, so the flat has been designed to feel inspiring, relaxed, and full of creative touches.

I’m fun, easy-going, and always up for a good chat, but I also appreciate quiet time and a comfortable home environment. The flat is light-filled and spacious, with a fully equipped kitchen and a small garden yard.

We’re just a 4-minute walk from Saltwell Park, one of my favourite spots for a stroll, and Prism Café is a lovely little place nearby that’s ideal for taking a break.

If you’re looking for a characterful, friendly place to live with easy access to the city, this could be just right for you.

The Area and Transport

The flat is located in Gateshead, near the beautiful Saltwell Park, one of the loveliest green spaces in the area. It’s just 10 minutes to Newcastle city centre by bus and around 6 minutes by taxi.
The bus stop is located directly on the main road, making it safe and easy to access. I often walk to the city centre, which takes about 40 minutes, or around 30 minutes to reach the BALTIC Centre for Contemporary Art or the Sage Gateshead.

I had a lovely stay at this beautifully decorated flat, in a calm neighbourhood. Paulina was extremely organised, welcoming and helpful with all the information I needed, and I felt truly at home during my visit. Highly recommend!
