Riverfront Haven: Quayside House Close to the Glasshouse (Gateshead)

Hi there,

I’m Emily, and I have a cozy double room with a bathroom available in Gateshead Quayside, Dunston. It’s just a 30-minute walk into Newcastle City Centre!

Here's a bit about my home and the area:

It's a 3-bedroomed House, close to the Beautiful River Tyne & Historic Dunston Staiths Structure. The area is great for exciting events in Newcastle, Gateshead, Northumberland, and beyond. We’re only a 15-minute drive from Close House for golf enthusiasts. This room offers you peace away from major city traffic while still being close enough for a lovely stroll into town in just over twenty-five minutes.

Local transport links, including a bus stop just 2 minutes away
Café within a 5-minute walk (Staiths Cafe)
Bus ride takes only 10 minutes to get into Newcastle, with stops directly opposite Newcastle railway station
The space includes a double bedroom and access to a bathroom with a bath only.
There’s also a little garden that gets sun until 3 pm in the summer. If you enjoy reading a book after work like me, there’s always the shared communal space.
Location: You're just a 20-25 minute walk from Newcastle Quayside/Swing Bridge along a flat riverside path and the C2C cycle route. You can easily detour up from this path and cross over the high-level bridge to reach Newcastle Bigg Market near Grey Street/Theatre Royal. The Theatre Royal is a 35-minute walk, and the Live Theatre is a 31-minute walk. If you enjoy cycling, feel free to use my unisex single gear city bike! There are also plenty of buses that stop right outside the estate, with direct routes to Gateshead MetroCentre (a 7-minute drive away). Taxi fares range from £6-10 into the city centre, and you can usually order one within 5 minutes using local taxi apps.

About me: You'd be sharing the room with me, your landlord, Emily. Shared spaces include the kitchen, living room, shed, and it’s a really friendly neighborhood in Gateshead Quayside. I enjoy cooking, dining out, sports, and the occasional mid-week drink. I sometimes go out with friends and host dinner parties. I’m looking for a flatmate who shares similar interests and who will feel at home here.
