Living with Host

What does this mean?

A spacious double room in a modern home. Guests will have access to personal bathroom with bath and standing shower which was refurbished in 2025, a newly refurbished kitchen and garden area to relax in. The double bedroom has black out curtains, a Smart TV for Netflix etc and a comfortable double bed. Guests will also have access to fast internet connection, microwave, air fryer and all other amenities needed for an enjoyable and convenient stay.

I pride myself on making my guests feel at home whilst also giving them the privacy they desire.

Guest Parking

Guests also have the option of off street parking outside the front of my house.

The Area and Transport

Tesco is a 5 minute walk. There’s a Fish and Chip shop across the road as well as a fantastic Chinese takeaway.
Property is located just off the main A13 road connecting Leigh on Sea to Southend in a matter of minutes. Bus routes to both the Palace and Cliffs theatres are easily accessible. Palace theatre is a 5 minute drive and an 8 minute drive to the Cliffs. Chalkwell station is also a 15 minute walk away with direct links to central London.
Palace Theatre :- 5 minute drive / 25 minute walk / 1.1 miles - mostly flat
Cliffs Pavilion :- 8 minute drive / 40 minute walk / 1.8 miles - mostly flat

Brenda is so lovely and welcoming would love to stay again, Leigh-on-sea is a great area to explore. Digs are perfect if you want a seaside walk to the theatres.

Had a lovely stay at Brenda's. Brenda is a great host who goes above and beyond to ensure I had a good stay. She is very warm and welcoming. Her place is very clean, and the bed is super comfy. Would definitely stay again.

Very comfortable and warm bedroom and bathroom. Brenda is a great host, helpful and friendly, thank you so much for having me! Off street parking is great with a 5-10 minute drive to Cliffs. Would love to come back next time I'm in Southend!

I stayed with Brenda for 2 weeks while I was in the 'Tina' musical at the Cliffs Pavilion Theatre. Her house is big and bright and has a lovely garden with seating areas which my room overlooked. Very comfortable cosy bed, great wifi and a new bathroom, with a terrific shower, across the landing for my sole use made my stay really enjoyable. Lots of shops en route to the theatre and although I walked each day there is a good bus service. Brenda made me very welcome and I hope I can stay again.

Had a lovely stay with Brenda who is an excellent host. The room had a very comfy bed and a private bathroom across the hall which has been recently modernised with a fantastic shower. It was a lovely walk to and from the Cliffs or an easy bus ride from the end of the road if the weather wasn't suitable. Would stay again happily, thanks Brenda !

Brenda was a lovely host, very accommodating and lovely to stay with. The house was clean and tidy and the room was spacious. Would highly recommend particularly for the Palace Theatre

I had a lovely time living with Brenda, it is a long walk to the pavilion but ideal for the other theatres or if you drive. I slept very well as the bed is particularly comfortable! A homely place to stay and with great access to the sea front!

Brenda couldn't have done more to make my stay as comfortable as it could be. The room is large and airy with an incredibly comfy bed, blackout curtains that really work & the added bonus of a desk & chair. Lovely bathroom across the landing. I was welcome to use the kitchen and it's attached sitting area/TV. An easy 5min drive to the Palace Theatre (lots of buses also) with parking on the drive. Brenda was a wonderful host who made me feel right at home. Thank you for such a lovely stay!
