About these Digs
Living with Host
Bright, light terraced house with large open plan kitchen diner, small living room, small and cosy double room (that previous guests have said is super comfy) shared bathroom (bath with overhead shower), GCH, Wifi, small back yard populated with plants.
A small study is available, if a separate working area is required, and key light with a mobile stand for those last-minute self-tapes. Please make sure that you make arrangements to use either, or both, of these before booking is confirmed.
Sharing with the female owner, the house is in the L8 area within 20-30 mins walking distance of the theatres, city centre, and Sefton and Princes Park. 2 mins walk to local bus routes into town, 5-10 min walk to shops and supermarkets, local chemist and hairdressers round the corner.

The Area and Transport
Local, diverse neighbourhood, with plenty of shops (both big and small) within walking distance. Very regular bus service - within few mins walk - to city centre (Princes Avenue: 75, 80, 80A; Park Road: 82; Warwick Street: 27) or theatres/city centre 25-40 min walk (depending on how fast you walk/which theatre you're going to). Safe and friendly, just the usual occasional disturbances for urban area.

i had a great time at denise’s - it was pretty much just somewhere to sleep and have my breakfast since i was either working or exploring liverpool! easy bus connections to town, and i had some great walking routes via the river or the cathedral

Denise was a lovely host, very welcoming and friendly, the room was very comfy, and a manageable distance from the centre of town and theatres, would definitely stay again!

A comfortable bed and plenty of kitchen storage space. Wifi is decent. Getting to and from the theatres is straight forward. From the centre of town, the 82 runs regularly and then it's only a 5-7 minute walk to the house from there. Thank you for the stay.

Denise is a lovely host - happy to chat but equally keeps herself to herself. The house itself is small but cosy and kept nice and clean. I had some difficult scheduling things that she was very accommodating about. Location perfect for anyone needing to work in town.

Denise is a lovely woman who was super accommodating. The room is cosy and the kitchen / dining area is exactly what I needed to cook and chill in at night. If staying in a friendly, genuine home is what you’re looking for, it’s perfect. The walk to Hope Mill Theatre was 1.5 miles, so 30 minutes but eminently doable. Denise is an interesting, artistic woman who chats when engaged but leaves you alone if that is your preference. Suited me perfectly as I look for a friendly ‘home from home’.

Denise is the perfect host - I felt very free and independent at her place. Easy walk to the town centre and near some good supermarkets. Denise was also really great company, it was so nice to stay with someone who works in the arts and understands what we do! This will be my go-to digs next time I’m in Liverpool

Had a super stay at Denise's home. Lovely chats about the arts. Really interesting to hear about the work she does. Location very convenient, only 20 minutes walk (5 minutes in an Uber) from town. Would recommend and definitely stay again. 😁

Great place to stay in Liverpool, the bedroom does get cold but enough blankets and hot water bottles are available for use. Can only eat downstairs, but wasn't an issue for me - had a great stay, thank you so much for accommodating me!

I had a fantastic stay. Small double exactly as described, was perfect for my stay. Theatre is a short bus ride - very regular every 10 mins - or a 30 min walk. Would definitely recommend x

A lovely quiet stay with Denise was exactly what I needed in Liverpool - the Swifties weren't going to get in the way of a good night's sleep but made the time in the city certainly memorable. Denise was kind, thoughtful and had some very nice chats. Anyone wanting to stay in Liverpool for a few nights should definitely book!

Denise was a very friendly and respectful host. The bed is very comfy with 4 pillows- slept like a baby!
Travel to theatre is easy peasy- a good walk if you’re trying to get steps in, and there is a super quick bus that will get you into town in 10 mins.

A lovely stay in Denise's home. Very welcoming, and the room was snug and cozy, with comfy bed. I really enjoyed my time here, and I enjoyed the walk to and from the Empire, only 30mins through the Georgian Quarter and past both Cathedrals. Felt perfectly safe walking, even at night. Also free parking at house. Thank you so much Denise, would love to stay again.

Lovely stay with Denise. Small room, but cosy and clean. Rest of house clean and tidy with space given in fridge and cupboard. Good location for buses into town, would take about 30mins all in from digs to Empire, and quick 10min Uber. Would recommend.

Lovely stay with Denise. Very comfortable, good communication and very friendly. Free parking which was great. Got taxis home at night but easy 40 min walk to theatre during the day. Only thing I would say is there was no lock on the bathroom.

Lovely stay with Denise. Comfy double bed and shared bathroom, 35 mins walk from the Empire. Ok Wifi, shops nearby and Denise had good communication & was very accommodating.

Denise was a superb host, very friendly and welcoming. The room was lovely with a very comfortable bed, use of the bath and shower and the washing machine whenever I needed it. I would recommend her to anyone and would happily stay again.

This is a very accurate review. Thanks. Admittedly, it is a small journey to theatreland, but the advantage is that if you want a 'post-show quiet', my house is in an area that is near enough but not right in the middle of it all.
This host has opted to only receive bookings from registered theatre professionals.
