Self-Contained

What does this mean?

A comfortable, freshly decorated self-contained studio within the main house but with its own separate entrance. The studio has a double bed, wardrobe with drawers, desk, sofa, smart TV and small table for dining. There are blinds and curtains to the bedroom area. The house is set back from the main road, overlooking the back garden. Fresh linen, towels and essentials provided.

En-suite shower with WC and wash hand basin.

Separate well equipped kitchen with fridge, hob/oven, microwave, kettle, washing machine. Welcome tea, coffee, sugar provided. Small lobby for coats, shoes, bags etc.

The studio is self-contained but we are living alongside in the main house. Guests are welcome to ask if there are any queries before or during their stay.

Guest Parking

Parking on the drive is by arrangement. If unavailable, there is free nearby on street parking.

The Area and Transport

Located in the quiet St Stephens area of Canterbury, a 10-15 minute walk to either The Marlowe Theatre and Canterbury City centre, approximately 10 minutes' walk to the Malthouse Theatre, or in the opposite direction to The Gulbenkian Theatre (based on the University of Kent campus). There is a bus stop on the street immediately outside the house. Canterbury West train station is approx 10 minutes' walk.

The studio is private and for the exclusive use of guests during their stay. You may meet us during your stay as the studio is within the main house. We do have a small, very friendly dog. Guests are welcome to make use of the garden. There are 2x patios with table/chairs.

What a lovely stay I had at Judith’s! She is so friendly along with her partner, Richard and adorable Pom Pom the dog. The room is spotless, stylish and comfortable. They welcome you to use the garden which is a lovely, relaxing spot. An easy stroll to the Gulbenkian and into town, the location is perfect. Would recommend to anyone!
