Self-Contained

What does this mean?

These digs offer the chance to stay in a vibrant and trendy area and with easy tram and bus links to the city centre and Media City. A great place to relax between shows. The digs are in the basement of a Victorian house in West Didsbury and give you a small flat for more or less the price of a room.

The accommodation has its own front door and you get to it through the house. The apartment includes a double bedroom with built in wardrobe, a living room with TV, a shower room and toilet and a small kitchen with a washer dryer. Guests have sole use of these rooms and the rest of the house is occupied by the host Robert. These digs provide privacy, space and comfort in a relaxed and friendly house.

There is also room for guests to have friends or partners to stay at no extra cost.
The ceiling height in the basement is about 6ft 2in. If anyone is taller than that I guess there's a perfect excuse to spend more time sitting down or lying down.

Guest Parking

The parking is free and although it may not always be possible to park right outside the house there will be spaces in the street.

The Area and Transport

The Digs are in West Didsbury just off Burton Road. Just 300 metres from Burton Road Metrolink and frequent trams into the City Centre. Burton Road itself is packed with bars, cafes and restaurants and is a great place to relax and socialise.

Fantastic digs which are incredible value for money. Had everything required and obviously very well looked after. Easy 5 minute walk to the tram that takes you into the centre of town for the theatres and I felt totally fine as a female walking back from the tram at night - well lit walk, along the main road with open businesses. Robert was a lovely host who left me to my own devices but was available if needed. Highly recommend and I will definitely be back!

Robert is an amazing host and the accomodation is absolutely perfect, can't recommend it enough. Has everything you need and very accessible to the centre/The Lowry. Robert is very kind and very accommodating. Would absolutely come again
