Living with Host
We have a room free in our light, quiet and artsy 2 bedroom apartment with green views near Brockley station (SE London, zone 2) - ideally for someone wanting it for Jan (or late Dec) through to early March (or much of that time). We're going to be out of it for quite a bit of Jan, Feb and March so you'll often have it to yourself - but one or both of us might pop up from Brighton for up to three nights a week if work harasses us enough. We have a scruffy little dog that will only come up if we both come back for a night (non moulting). You'd have full use of the flat other than our room!
Finally, we prefer to let to older guests, 30+, just based on a bit of experience (sorry!!). It's our home so we're looking to let to someone who'll look after it well when we're not there.
Guest Parking
Free and easy outside on the street (astonishing but true).
The Area and Transport
We're in a safe, leafy neighbourhood close to a big park, cafes, bars and shops. Hilly Fields is just round the corner.
It’s 8 mins walk to Brockley station (Zone 2), then 10-15 mins to London Bridge and the Jubilee line); 10 mins to Crofton Park station (easier for E&C, Farringdon, Blackfriars, KX), 17 mins walk to St Johns, and 20 mins to Ladywell (into Waterloo, Charing Cross). Its on the 2nd floor, with no lift in a small block of 9 flats; big shared garden.

Other rules
It's a shoes off home.
No group socials are allowed in the flat - we're fine with the one person visiting/staying over in your room, but please know them and vouch for them.
We'll provide sheets and you're welcome to use our towels, but please wash them at least every couple of weeks (sorry - experience!).
We ask that you take care of the cleaning when you're the only one in the space (much of Jan and Feb). This will mean doing the bathrooms, kitchen etc thoroughly at least every two weeks. (If we end up using it frequently of course we'll adjust this).
Please use the dehumidifier in your room to prevent damp.
If you use the heating much beyond the usual (it's usually around £120 in winter p/m), we'll ask you to pay for supplementary costs. The flat's well insulated though - we don't like the cold.
