What does this mean?

Just a few minutes' walk from Aylesbury Waterside theatre, or an easy train ride from Wycombe Swan theatre, friendly and welcoming family offering a home from home in a beautiful Grade II listed period property while you're away from your own, and busy working.

Centrally located in the conservation area of the old town in Aylesbury, we have many coffee shops, cafés and restaurants on our doorstep as well as three national supermarkets, two shopping centres and the usual high street stores. The train station, giving easy access to High Wycombe (25 minutes) London (Marylebone, within an hour), is only a 5 minute walk away and the bus station is even closer. There is no parking at the house (except overnight on-street parking on single yellow lines 6pm - 8am) but lots of nearby car parks are within very easy reach (£4/24h) .

Both rooms are fresh, warm and comfortable, with tea and coffee making facilities. The main room can be made up as a twin or king size bed at your request (please note there is small surcharge for king size if only one occupant). A large family bathroom (with shower and bath) is shared between the guest rooms. A separate sitting room is available for your use with sofa, TV, dining table and chairs so you can relax downstairs away from your bedroom if you desire. WI-FI available.

The house is a smoke free zone but you are welcome to smoke in the garden (please dispose of ends safely). Guests are permitted by prior arrangement please.

We are on hand to help with any queries and always like to hear about what you're working on, if you care to share. We are also respectful of your personal space and privacy so will leave you to go about your business and daily life without interruption.

Towels and bedding changed and rooms cleaned on a weekly basis. Washing machine available by prior arrangement. In case of allergies, we have a cat, who isn't allowed in the guest rooms but is in the house.

Check in/out times are 4pm on arrival day and by 12 noon on departure day please, unless agreed by prior arrangement.

Fiona’s house is beautiful and I felt very privileged to stay there! Fiona and her family were lovely, inviting and helped with whatever I needed. The bed so was comfy I didn’t want to leave! Would recommend.

Absolutely adored staying here. The room was immaculate and the scent was always so fresh. Fiona is so welcoming and friendly, as were her sons. The location is perfect, centre of town and so close to the theatre. Can’t recommend this place enough, would absolutely stay here again. Thank you Fiona!
