Old Shop Market Town Apartment near to Norwich (Hingham)

There are two double bedrooms available with a shower room and a private kitchen with a small table. The house is situated on the main road running through Hingham.

There is a studio space, which is not part of your rental, that you need to pass through to reach the kitchen from the rest of the apartment.

The space will be locked off from our main house on the first floor but there may be a booking in the gallery space during the day (10am to 4pm) &/or I may be teaching (Monday/Tuesday only). You will be informed if this will be taking place before your booking is confirmed and no one will have access to your private space during your stay.

We’re an hour bus journey to Norwich or a 20 min drive.

Guest Parking

There is free parking available on the roads around the house.

The Area and Transport

The Old Shop is situated at the centre of the historic market town of Hingham. The house overlooks the beautiful St. Andrew’s church and we are surrounded by countryside and walks.

There is a regular bus service to Wymondham (our nearest station) and Norwich.

Hingham has a great pub/restaurant, supermarket, village shop, butchers, bakery, Fish & Chip Shop, three cafes and three art gallery spaces.

The Old Shop is a converted Victorian General Store which is attached to our Georgian Townhouse and has two bedrooms, shower room, and kitchen with a table.

Included amenities

This space is not shared with anyone else.

You will never be asked to share the apartment with another guest who is not in your party. The two bedrooms have exclusive use of the shower room & kitchen. You will have your own front door and entrance way and, when there is not a booking in the gallery space, the apartment will be locked off from the main house although we may need to access the ground floor rooms.

On the ground floor there is a small lounge and the gallery space which are not part of your booking although we will lock off this part of the house when they are not being used. You will need to enter & exit through this lounge & gallery.

We have no outdoor shoes policy in the apartment.

Excluded Facilities

There is no access to the garden, the studio will be roped off, but you do need to pass through this room. The ground floor lounge and gallery space are not part of your booking.

We have a no outdoor shoes beyond the gallery/entrance way. We hope to offer you a ‘home from home’. We are next door if any help is required.
