Living with Host

What does this mean?

Spacious house, leafy street next to park. Free on-street parking. Walk to Theatre Royal 25-30 mins. Choice of regular buses (5 mins). Neuron e-scooters also available.

It takes about 25 mins to walk to Northern Stage either by following the road or cutting through Leazes Park. A taxi takes 5 minutes.

The house is a 5-10 minute walk to food stores and restaurants. The area is well known for its Persian and Lebanese eateries. There's a cafe in the park, at the end of the street.

I have three rooms, two large and one small.
Shared use of kitchen, shower room with toilet and a separate toilet.
Help yourself breakfast is provided.
Use of well-tended garden in which one can sit, weather permitting.

Guest Parking

Guests have access to free on-street parking along the entire length of the street, this includes the use of parallel parking bays.

The Area and Transport

Nestled on a leafy street next to Nuns Moor Park, this spacious Victorian house offers a peaceful retreat just minutes from the city’s vibrant theatre scene.
Perfectly suited for theatre professionals, the house combines tranquillity with easy access to key performance venues: Northern Stage, Theatre Royal, Tyne Theatre and Alphabetti Theatre can be reached on foot in under 30 minutes, or a 5-minute car ride.
Getting around by public transport is simple and quick. Buses 12, 39, and 40 run directly from the end of the street into the city centre in just 5 minutes, with other bus routes also serving the area. Free on-street parking is available for those traveling by car.
The area offers renowned Persian and Lebanese restaurants, local food stores, and a charming park café.

This space is shared with 1 Host and 2 other paying Guests.

During your stay, you will meet me and may also encounter other theatre professionals. I typically host only one or two guests at a time, ensuring a peaceful, comfortable and spacious environment.
I also accommodate group bookings. In such cases, all the rooms in the house can be reserved exclusively for the group, ensuring they are the only guests during their stay.
Each guest’s room is a private space, and I only enter upon request to change bedding or to clean it. Both the double and twin rooms can be locked, if desired.
Guests have shared access to the kitchen, which features full cooking facilities and a dining table as well as a cushioned settle for relaxing. There is also personal cupboard space for food storage, along with designated fridge and freezer sections.
The shower room with a toilet, as well as a separate toilet, are also shared.
You are welcome to make use of the yarden—a peaceful spot to sit and relax in good weather.

Designed for your comfort and security. I follow the same rules.
Bathroom: Angle showerhead to avoid floor spills.
Towels: Hang after use; refreshed weekly.
Bed Linen: Changed weekly; you may do it yourself.
Cleaning: Weekly, as agreed.
Guests: Only booked guests may stay—no extra visitors or overnights.
Kitchen: Wash up after eating. If the drying area is full, dry and put items away.
Refuse:
• Metal bin – general waste
• Paper bag holder – paper/plastic recycling
• Glass – place on counter near fridge
Shoes: Please remove indoors.
Smoking: No smoking/vaping indoors or in the garden.
Laundry: One wash per week. Wash to finish no later than 10pm. Dry outside or indoors. Laundrette nearby: Swish Wash, 5-7 Fenham Rd, NE4 5AE.
Keys: Lost keys incur a £210 replacement fee.

Had a lovely, calm, quiet and peaceful stay at Helenas, really nice bedroom and comfortable bed full use of kitchen and was offered breakfast. Would highly recommend for Newcastle, I won't hesitate to book again, thanks Helena!

Such a beautiful home. Retreat describes it perfectly. So peaceful, clean and tidy. Everything you need in the kitchen and just the most perfect place to relax and unwind. Helena was super friendly and accommodating, up there with the best digs I’ve stayed in.
