My house is very central , and there’s no parking restrictions in the street.

Wonderful stay at Marilyn’s, lovely comfortable room with a full kitchen, which was stocked with orange juice, milk, and everything to make a hot drink. Perfect accom and a short walk to the theatre. Thanks again Marilyn.

Had a lovely stay at Marilyn's guest house! Self contained with the kitchen had everything I needed, and was about at 25 min walk to the theatre or an easy bus ride. Marilyn was great and always around if I needed help!

Marilyn was so lovely; welcoming and friendly. The room was cosy. It is a good half hour walk to His Majesty’s Theatre, so a little further out than expected. However, close to the beach and lovely accommodation.

These digs are perfect and the host (Marilyn) is fantastic. There if you need her but stays away if you don’t! A brisk 20 mins walk to the theatre but only a ten minute walk away from the beach! Helped make this leg of the tour very memorable.

10 minutes from the beach, 1 minute from an Asian grocery store. The amount of joy I felt, finding this store was 1 minute from me is indescribable. Fully fitted kitchen, ensuite bathroom, ticks all my boxes. A bit of a walk from the theatre but luckily had 3 other cast mates in the same digs so we just walked home together each night. It can get very quiet at night so it was nice to have company. Digs were also clean and comfortable. Would stay again!

Had everything I needed for the week! A nice and cosy room. Marilyn was a very kind host - gave me lots of tips and recommendations to make my stay as enjoyable as it could be. 25 minute walk away from His Majesty's Theatre, a Tesco Express about a 5-10 minute walk away, and an Asian grocery store just down the road. The beach is also about a 15 minute walk away - and we were lucky to have some sunshine to be able to enjoy it!

Marilyn's place was perfect for my week in Aberdeen. The room (double with kitchenette and ensuite) had all the basics – great to be able to prepare meals. Everything clean and well maintained, and Marilyn was v friendly and quick to respond to any questions. A 20-25 min walk to His Majesty's Theatre – felt safe walking home at night. Only thing to note is that I'd recommend ear plugs – the floorboards are a bit creaky, so you may hear neighbouring guests moving about in the mornings.

I could not recommend Marilyn's fantastic digs enough for when working in Aberdeen. A wonderful studio room with an easy commute to His Majesty's Theatre and also close to the seaside. Marilyn is such a brilliant host and I would not hesitate to book again in the future!

What a lovely stay! Nice big windows for lots of light. Washing Machine to wash clothes (which is always nice as alot of places wont let you use their machine or charge you extra)
Marylin was always quick with responding and very accommodating. An all around lovely person.
20 min walk to the theatre with the shortcuts.
15min walk into town centre. Lots of shops around. Very scenic area! Beach about about 25-minute walk away.

Fabulous digs an easy (flat) walk from the theatre with a big Morrisons en route. Also close to the beach! The walk at night home felt safe too which is always important to mention. Marilyn was lovely and accommodating when it came to a change in check in time due to my flight diversion. Only thing that I would change is a blind on the window as the curtain is thin but other than that I had a lovely stay and will definitely be back! Thank you so much x

Marilyn is a very respectful host. She clearly takes the quality of her hosting very seriously. I strongly appreciated the layout of the room I was in. It was on the 1st floor with a nice view and it felt very private. I didn't feel like I was invading anyone's privacy. It just felt like it was my room which really had everything I needed in it and more so. Thank you for everything Marilyn!

I had an incredibly comfortable stay in the Merkland guesthouse, the room was spacious with great facilities, and the house itself was really warm and cosy. Good distance from the theatre and town, I would definitely stay again!

Marilyn was a charming, very welcoming host and I had a lovely stay. The guest house is a little bit of a trek to His Majesty's Theatre but that is more than made up for by it being so close to the beautiful beach.

Marilyn was a fantastic host . The digs were great - self contained and only a 15 / 20 min walk to the theatre .

Had another lovely stay with Marilyn whilst in Aberdeen. Approx 20 min walk to His Majesty's Theatre, 10 mins from the beach and right next to good bus links to the town centre (or a 25/30 min walk). My room had an en-suite and a kitchen area with oven, hobs and microwave. Always glad to return here, thanks!

A great guesthouse! My room had an ensuite, kettle, microwave and a fridge. Lovely spacious and comfortable room. Around a 25 minute walk to the theatre mostly along a main road.

I had a wonderful stay at Marilyn’s guesthouse, excellent room with great kitchen, over, microwave, hob, table, TV, all the cooking utensils, great bathroom, nice bed. Easy 20-25 minute walk to the theatre.
Marilyn was very accommodating with the time I arrived and provided milk and orange juice in the room which was very kind.
I would highly recommend this guesthouse and would love to stay again if I’m ever in Aberdeen.

Probably one of my favourite digs of the tour! So clean, so quiet, so tidy and had everything I needed for a short stay. Marilyn is so kind and attentive and gave me good tips on local things to do, plus very kindly left me milk and orange juice in the fridge. The bed was so comfy and the house felt incredibly secure and safe to stay in. Thank you for a great stay! I definitely won’t hesitate to book again next time I’m in Aberdeen!

Fantastic digs! Choice of rooms and facilities. I had a double and shared bathroom with one other which was right outside in hallway. Useful microwave, fridge kettle etc in room and a nice touch having cereal, milk and juice provided. 20 min walk to theatre. Comfortable warm and welcoming. Thank you Marilyn. I'll be back.

Had a very comfortable stay. My only.real down side was the internet connection was so bad it would not load a single page. I missed out on quite a lot of work during my stay. However, the room was cosy and not too long a walk to the theatre. I would happily stay again x

I’m sorry you had a problem with the internet. I do have a booster for the top floor. So if you had told me I could have checked it . I’m sorry you didn’t tell me.
A lovely room, clean warm and everything you need for the week. Slow cooker, kettle, fridge and microwave in the room and the shared bathroom was spotless.
Easy access to plenty of buses into town, or 20 mins walk. Women should feel safe - catching a bus back at night with the digs only 30 yards (?) round the corner from a stop.
Beach is 10 mins walk away and well worth it for a stroll and joggers will love it. First time I have ever seen a live seal!
Recommended.

I loved staying in the Merkalnd Guest House. Marilyn was lovely and really helpful. Great value. The house is only 10 mins walk from the beach which was a lovely surprise! Would definitely stay there again.

Great digs! About a 15 minute walk from the city, a few minutes walk from the airport bus and only a mile from Aberdeen beach! Clean, private bathroom and kitchen and lovely people too! Highly recommended!

I loved staying with Marilyn. The rooms are incredibly clean and comfortable. The bed was especially comfy. It was a little home from home.
I’d absolutely stay there again.

A lovely, quiet room with everything you need. Marilyn even supplied cereal, milk and juice in the room to make your own breakfast. An easy walk to His Majesty's theatre and a short walk to the sea. Thank you Marilyn.

Had a lovely stay here whilst in Aberdeen. Room was large and warm with an en-suite and kitchen. Even had some milk, orange juice, butter and jam in the fridge! An easy 20-25 minute walk to His Majesty's Theatre, or a short bus ride (which are very frequent) and a 5 min walk. Would happily return in the future. Thanks!

I had a lovely stay at Merkland House in Aberdeen. The house is a short walk from the seaside and a 25-minute walk to His Majesty's Theatre. My room was clean, warm and it had everything I needed in a self-contained space.
Marilyn was a kind and thoughtful host and I would definitely recommend staying at Merkland House! Thank you for having me!

Marilyn provided a warm welcome and kindly left milk, butter, OJ in the fridge for my arrival. The room was spotless. Having a kitchen and en suite was exactly what I needed. Close to the coast and a 25 min walk to the theatre. I would stay here again.

5* for Marilyn and her lovely home. I was very happy to find my own kitchen area and en-suite included in Marilyn's price. My room was as warm as I wanted and the little extras in the fridge as well as tea & coffee were a lovely touch. 20-25 mins to walk to the theatre which I was more than happy to do, oh and by the way Marilyn's house is not far from the beach😊, maybe in the Spring! Good digs, plenty of facilities, friendly host and comfortable. A little way out with a 25 minute walk to HIs Majesty's but other than that it's definitely a good place to stay.

Such a lovely guest house, the rooms are bright, clean and super well equipped! Location is great, simple walk down to His Majesty’s or straight into town! I wouldn’t hesitate to stay again, thank you!
