Reconnect with nature at this unforgettable escape nestled in the Lytchett Bay SSSI area of outstanding beauty. Nature walks to the Turlin moor backwaters beach or over to Lytchett Bay . Short walk to Hamworthy Common with its lake and beach.

Regular bus service into Poole and to explore the Jurassic coast. Less than 10 minutes walk to Hamworthy train station with direct services to London Waterloo and Weymouth.

Local amenities include supermarkets and a large number of takeaways.

Great set of rooms (more like a small semi-detached house really) in a lovely quiet estate. Everything you need is provided, including a well-appointed kitchen and a comfy lounge. It is a little way out of town but the 8 and 9 buses goes virtually door-to-door to the Lighthouse, and Hamworthy station is a 20 minute walk away. Welcoming and unobtrusive hosts.

I was very comfortable and at home in the annex. And surprised how big it was, which the photos didn’t quite capture: two bedrooms and bathroom upstairs + downstairs kitchen and separate living room. Lovely if you want to cook and feel at home. Jane is kind and thoughtful - she gave me a lift from the station and even a lift down to Lidl one very wet day. The only drawback for me was the location - no problem if you have a car, but the bus in to Poole is 25 to 30 minutes and not always on time.

Lovely digs: spacious, spotless with a lovely view over the bay. V easy into town: bus stop yards from the door; or you can (as I did) walk to Hamworthy Station (12 mins) and get the train to Poole (4 mins), where its a 5 mins walk to the theatre.

The digs would be especially great forva long set-down (panto etc) as there is the space and facility to settle in, cook proper meals etc. (It's worth bearing in mind that the food options near the theatre sre very limited.)

Highly recommended!

Lovely little annex, really enjoyed staying here! Very clean and comfortable, and the views are amazing! House has everything you need and the bus stop is a 30 second walk from the house if you're commuting on public transport. Jane even offered to pick me up from the train station when I arrived which was soooo appreciated! Would definitely stay again. Thanks so much Jane! x
