Gorgeous, warm and peaceful double bedroom in a friendly and happy household. The room is next to the bathroom at the back of the house with views of the small woods behind. Full use of the kitchen diner available and situated in a safe suburban area.

We are in beautiful Penarth, a coastal town right next to Cardiff. The house is a 3 minute walk from the train station with easy links into Cardiff Central (8mins) and the Bay. We are a 40 min walk from WMC across Cardiff Bay via the barrage, Bus links from the top of the street.

Where do I start wow what a fabulous host and accommodation. Melissa is one of the best hosts I have met. She went above and beyond to make sure I had everything I needed. This truly was a home away from home. The whole family welcomed me and when my own family came to visit me they were also welcomed. It’s very rare you find a host this generous, kind and caring. Thank you for having me for the best part of 6 weeks. I would recommend these digs for any creative in the industry. Five stars!

One of the most friendly & welcoming homes I have stayed in, would happily stay again. Comfortable bed, decent bathroom & plenty of space in the kitchen; all within cycling distance of WMC (and was able to keep my bike in the hall). I could not have asked for more - thanks Melissa!

A lovely place in a family home, Mellissa was very warm and welcoming, I stayed for 9 weeks and enjoyed every bit of it, would highly recommend staying here if you also want to enjoy Penarth village,

Melissa is a wonderful host, very friendly!! The room is very comfortable and quiet. the window overlooks the garden and a very visually pleasant wall of greenery. Cycling to the Wales Millennium Center takes 20 minutes. I had a very good stay there, I have already booked again for September.

Lovely room with clean shared bathroom. Host and family are great. Travel to WMC is a beautiful but fairly long walk (45-60mins) and a quick cycle which would be ideal if you have your own bike. I used the Cardiff city bikes but they are awful and q unreliable so I wouldn't rely on them! So great digs in lovely penarth but make sure you're prepared for the travel.

My mum had a lovely time during her stay at Melissas. The room was very cosy and Melissa was a very welcoming and warm host. The house is also in a great location as the train station, from where you can travel to Cardiff and all the lovely small seaside towns nearby is just a one minute walk away. At the same time, the neighbourhood is very green and peaceful.

Melissa was very accommodating to my last minute changes. The house is nice and clean with good facilities. The bed is super comfy too! Very close to Cardiff but a little further from the theatre- be prepared for a 15 minute walk from Barry Docks...

Melissa is amazing! bedroom and bathroom very Trendy! Bed was super comfy! I drove and parked at the Park & Ride county hall car park as its free and next to the theatre. I will 100 stay again xxx little sun trap in the garden too

Had a wonderful stay at Melissa’s - Big, cosy room. Amazing bathroom. Lovely family vibes. Excellent transport links. Melissa was very respectful with me as I like to keep to myself but was there whenever I needed her. Thank you Melissa!

Melissa is a fantastic host, really welcoming and relaxed. It was a lovely 2 months and I would most definitely stay again if I was working in Cardiff. Great for WMC, driving or cycling. Highly recommend!
