What does this mean?

Hi, I’m Alex, I’m a professional actor with a lovely room to rent in Kings Heath/Stirchley in Birmingham, just 15 mins by train in and out of Birmingham New Street station, via our brand new Pineapple Road station (5 mins walk from the house).

The room contains a huge, extremely comfy king-sized bed, as well as a cabinet, chair, chest of drawers and mirror. It’s at the back of my home, overlooking the garden, so it’s nice and peaceful.

I’m friendly but not at all in your face. I’m used to digs myself so I know privacy and space are important.

You’re welcome to use the kitchen, dining area and living room, all shared with me, and there’s a nice shared shower room too. Oh, and obviously there’s WiFi.

Guest Parking

Parking is available for free (no restrictions) on the road nearby.

The Area and Transport

The house is walking distance to both Kings Heath and Stirchley, which are both very groovy, gentrified suburbs just south of Birmingham city centre. Kings Heath is full of artsy types and there’s lots of live music going on; it also has its own Pride celebration so it’s super LGBTQIA+ friendly (as am I!). Stirchley is full of cute bars and micro breweries. It’s a great place and very safe.

My house is close to the Midland Arts Centre (about an half-hour walk or five mins in the car) and has excellent transport links into Birmingham City Centre for the Hippodrome, Alexandra and Rep theatres via our brand new Pineapple Road station, which is about five mins walk from my house - gets into Birmingham New Street in just 15 mins. There are also bus routes close to the house.

Alex was the most wonderful host! One of the best places I've stayed, I felt so comfortable and the communication was really easy. Giving boo cuddles was a huge bonus also, with great kitchen facilities, a super comfy bed, and a lovely shower. I've given 4* for location only because It's about an hour commute in total to get into the centre, and so finishing late means getting back just before midnight. But there's a great chippy nearby! I couldn't ask for a better host, will defo visit again :D
