Living with Host
One double room and one single room in a lovely village 3 miles from the centre of Derby. Guests only allowed by prior arrangement. 30 minutes walk approx. through a pretty park into Derby centre, or house is on a bus route into town and takes about 10 mins at most.
Useful for Derby Theatre, The Guildhall Theatre, or the Velodrome.
You will be sharing the kitchen and bathroom with me, and I have been hosting Theatre Professionals for a while now, so I know how to make you feel comfortable!

Anthea’s place was lovely! The street is lovely and quiet, and the taxi to the theatre was quite cheap.

A lovely stay in a quiet, comfortable house. Slept peacefully in a great bed, Only a short jaunt into town with a regular bus service. Great communication and a friendly stay. Thanks!

Had a great stay with Anthea for a week while working with Derby Theatre. Very warm and friendly, the place is exactly as described in a nice quiet area just outside the city. Would happily stay again.

Anthea was very welcoming and extremely helpful throughout my stay. The room was very comfortable with plenty of storage space, and right next to the bathroom. The location was a little bit further than I wanted however there was a decent bus service (about 4 an hour) just a 7 minute walk from the house and relatively cheap Ubers back at night after the shows. I would absolutely recommend staying here and would look forward to staying next time in Derby.

Darley Abbey is a lovely part of Derby. Marvellous 40 min walk to the theatre through park and along the river with good bus/taxi options too. Anthea is an excellent host and very easy to communicate with. Everything you need for and excellent stay and all you could want from digs. Will definitely try to book again next time I’m in Derby.

I had a really lovely stay in Derby! The location was perfect—convenient, peaceful, and close to everything I needed. What truly made the experience exceptional was my host. They were absolutely amazing: warm, welcoming, and incredibly helpful throughout my visit. Everything was smooth from start to finish, and I genuinely felt at home. I’d absolutely recommend staying here to anyone visiting Derby!

The perfect digs. Anthea is a great host, she is so friendly and easy going, and her place is charming and perfectly clean. I felt very comfortable there. Great location too, close to town and nice parks nearby. Anthea has hosted theatre people for years, so is well aquatinted with the industry which was nice, and she gave me lots of tips on places to visit locally too. I’d definitely stay again.

I really enjoyed my stay with Anthea Peters in her house.
Room I chose was confortable peaceful and well within my limited means .Bus routes were near to the house and available until quite late at night. Recommendable Okon Jones

Anthea is a wonderful host and has a beautiful home in a safe and pretty environment. I really enjoyed my time and if I returned to Derby I would absolutely stay here again.

Had a very comfortable stay at Anthea's. A very clean and bright room with a cosy bed. Bathroom is lovely too. Located in a gorgeous village 35 mins walk through a beautiful park into town. Would stay again. Highly recommended.

Room & house are both delightful. Incredibly clean, good WiFi, comfy & snug bed. Couldn’t fault it at all. Highly recommended. Sadly didn’t get to meet Anthea as she was away, but her communication & arrangements for letting me in were superb.

Lovely digs, and Anthea is fab. The room is small, but sharing the house balances that out. Location might be your only issue. It is a good 35 min walk from the theatre, which won't suit some, but wasn't a hassle for me. Nice and quiet. Thanks Anthea

It was such a lovely stay. Comfortable and nice room. Lovely area near the big park. 30 mins walk/bus to town and cheap taxi. Anthea was so welcoming.

A very comfortable week in Anthea's lovely home. Quiet location in Darley Abbey village; pleasant half hour walk into the city and theatre. Also on a bus route, and the mini cabs are very reasonable. Recommended!

Had a lovely week staying with Anthea. Very friendly came to support the play which is always appreciated. Lovely room, bathroom and easy to use kitchen area.
Theatre is 30 min walk. Very Reasonable.
Strongly recommend.

Anthea is a friendly, welcoming host who made my overnight stay a real pleasure. The room is lovely, the picture doesn't do it justice!
Very pretty and cosy, with a spotless bathroom adjacent. The off street parking is an additional bonus.
