Living with Host

What does this mean?

We have a bright good sized kingsize and a double room available for you to choose from in our detached house. Space in the fridge is available to you as well as cupboard space and the use of our kitchen for cooking and preparing meals at agreed times. There is also a separate bathroom just for your use and you are free to relax in our tiered garden with sea and downs views.

Guest Parking

There is free parking available for up to 3 cars on our drive.

The Area and Transport

The house is in a quiet location in the West end of Eastbourne. We have wonderful sea views and you can access the South Downs National park from our back garden. The house is about 1 mile or 15 to 20 mins walk from the theatres. To reach the beach is a 15 min walk through Meads village (10 mins walk) which has cafes, pubs and 2 mini supermarkets.

This space is shared with 2 Hosts and 2 other paying Guests.

We have an upside down house to benefit from the views. The main entrance and guest bedrooms are on the lower floor, as well as a bathroom and separate loo. The bathroom can be booked for your sole use or can be shared with another theatre digs guest if they wish to book the second available bedroom. Just tell us your preference on booking.

The shared living room, dining room, kitchen and utility are on the upper floor. The upper floor is also where the hosts sleep in an ensuite bedroom.

Well behaved children are very welcome, but it's best to discuss their needs and your expectations with us first. Children will need parental supervision as there are lots of stairs in house and the rear garden is very steep with lots of steps.

An absolutely delightful place to stay. It really is a home from home, beautifully decorated with everything you could need, in a lovely part of Eastbourne. Andrea and Dave are wonderful hosts, very warm and welcoming. I would happily stay with them again.

Andrea and Dave were the perfect hosts. Their beautiful house has sea views 20 mins walk (or 3 mins drive) from the theatre. The guest bedrooms are on a separate floor. The bed itself was very comfortable, and the room bright, clean and peaceful. I slept very well all week. The kitchen has everything, and I was given my own cupboard, space in the fridge, milk and coffee! Andrea and Dave were warm and welcoming. We had some great chats, as well as giving me all the privacy I needed. Great digs.

Had a beautiful few days hosted brilliantly by Andrea and Dave. Lovely view of the sea from this leafy part of the town and the room was spotless with a huge comfy bed - and a balcony in the sun. It’s a mile or so from the theatre which has the advantage of being very peaceful - only a few minutes in the car to explore the South Downs and the amazing cliff top walks. Would happily return! Loved it.

Amazing stay. The accomodation is beautiful and very clean. It is in a great location with parking and views of the sea. The bed was great and I slept very well. Andrea was so lovely and friendly, I will definitely book again and highly recommend.

A beautiful, comfortable house. Andrea and Dave were very friendly. I enjoyed walks to the theatre through Meads village and along the beach, and the walk back uphill is great exercise. I made friends with Elvis the cat who ate porridge from my hand.

Welcoming, friendly and chatty.
The bedroom and private bathroom were excellent and the kitchen diner is a great size. Easy parking at the property and a pleasant mile's walk to the Congress.
