What does this mean?

Professional actor and retired probation officer offer a warm welcome to their quiet and spacious family home. Since making a second (single) room available the bathroom will be shared on the rare occasion we have more than one room occupied.

Public transport is easily accessible on two bus routes to and from the city centre and daily bus passes (£4.10) or weekly bus passes (£14) are available from the driver. The bus stop is a 5 minute walk from our home and terminates in the City Centre - a three to four minute walk from the Arts Theatre or the Corn Exchange. There is also a very convenient bus stop en route to the centre if you are appearing at The Junction.

If you like to cycle, bikes are available for our guests. It is very flat in Cambridge!

If you prefer to travel by car, off road parking is available at our home and there is a multi-storey car park in the city centre which is very convenient for both theatres. There is also a multi-storey car park at The Junction.

Those of you who know Cambridge will know we also have "The Busway" which makes use of an old railway line. The Busway track - the longest in the world - is made up of two concrete beams with kerbs, and guide wheels on the bus connect with the kerb and run along it to steer the bus. It is a very fast route into Cambridge railway station and city centre from Trumpington, though it’s a bit further to walk to and from the bus stops at each end and at present there are no late services.

Beautiful room and bathroom! The hosts were more than welcoming and really made it feel like a home away from home. Perfect for getting into the centre of Cambridge. Thankyou John and Anna for a wonderful stay!

Had a lovely stay in Cambridge with John and Anna, who were both very welcoming and generous with their home. They were also very open to have a chat and get to know each other. Whilst I used my car to get around, John was kind enough to make me aware of the nearby transport links which are good to get to Cambridge centre and Saffron Walden. Great week, happy to stay again in the future, and would recommend!
