Living with Host
Welcoming artistic house located halfway up a hill between buzzing Stokes Croft and the quieter residential area of Kingsdown. About 30 minutes walk to Hippodrome and Old Vic.
Two good-sized double rooms on top floor of 4-story townhouse. Large bathroom on same floor. Microwave, fridge and tea/coffee facilities on landing outside room, access to main kitchen for those who'd like to cook.
We request guests not to bring visitors to the house unless by prior arrangement
Guest Parking
Parking options will need to be arranged by guests,- on-street parking in central Bristol is Resident Parking Zone and short term meters. the Just Park app can be useful and there are some long term car parks in the centre
The Area and Transport
We are just off Stokes Croft which is a very buzzy neighbourhood, lots of bars, restaurants and food shops nearby also a useful bus stop very close. It's a 10 minute walk to the central bus station, 25 minutes to the Hippodrome or Old Vic and 45 minutes walk from Temple Meads train station.

I can not fault my stay here. I stayed with Hilary for 12 weeks and I had the absolute best time. Very clean, very friendly. I adored my time here and hope to see you soon Hilary :)

This was a very enjoyable stay Hilary and her husband were very welcoming and had a beautifully artistic home.
A lot of steps up.and down, but I relished it. Something to think about if one isn't so mobile. Otherwise a terrific stay with one of the grandest vistas to date overlooking Bristol.

Absolutely fantastic digs. Hilary and Martin are wonderful hosts and their home is stunning. Lovely spacious bedroom, very comfortable bed, excellent views over Bristol and very handy for town (15 mins walk). Lots of good places to eat, plus the Lucy & Yak shop is about 5 mins away!
Unfortunately, I had to cut my stay short, and they were very kind and understanding. Would absolutely recommend for a stay in Bristol.

Hilary was really communicative and helpful before my arrival and made me feel very welcome in her home. Room and bed were very comfortable and quiet. 20 minute walk to the theatre. Will definitely return next time I'm in Bristol! Thanks :)

Lovely room at the top of a beautiful old house half an hour’s walk away from the hippodrome. It’s up a very steep hill so the views from the window are incredible, bus stops just around the corner, and the room has everything you could need. I had a lovely week here and would stay again if I’m in Bristol

Hilary was a fanatic host. Nothing was too much trouble and was very welcoming :-) spacious and comfortable room. Bathroom on the same floor which I had to myself as nobody was staying next door.
25min walk to the Hippodrome but plenty of Voi scooters to hire :-)

Hilary was very kind and welcoming, especially given my late arrival on the first night. A very well situated home with a nice walk in to the centre and the theatres. Would highly recommend.

I had a wonderful stay in Hillary‘s visually stunning home, shabby chic hallway with endless eye candy, my room was beautifully decorated with stunning views. Hillary could not have been more helpful and I would stay there again without hesitation.
