The house has four double bedrooms, two of which are usually available to rent. Each of those has access to its own bathroom which is 'next door' rather than en-suite. The rooms have a comfortable bed, wardrobe and shelf space and a desk/dressing table. One is upstairs with access to a bath/shower room and the other downstairs with a shower room. I tend to keep the upstairs room for shorter term lets (no more than 6 weeks or so usually). The house is a bit like the tardis, it doesn't look so big from the outside but it's surprisingly big on the inside and there's plenty of room in the big kitchen/diner which is for everyone's use. In the good weather, there's a compact garden for sitting out in and relaxing after rehearsals! (I sound like an estate agent, sorry!) Since my sons left home, there is just me in the house and so I love feeling it is lived in. I do understand the need for privacy, peace and quiet and the house is in a generally very quiet residential area, just 10 minutes easy walk from the theatre. There is currently free on-street parking round the corner and permit parking in front of the house (50p per day). The train station is a 25 minute walk or a £7, 5 minute, taxi ride.
There is cupboard and fridge space in the kitchen and I do ask for meals to be eaten downstairs. It's a completely non-smoking household.
The rent is £160 per week per room, the first week payable on arrival and then weekly or as per arrangement after that. including the use of everything as above.
If the stay is just for a few days, guests may use the oils, spices, foil and other basics that are already in the house,
Guests are welcome for a small extra cost, depending on how long they are staying and whether they are sharing a room.
