A two bedroomed self contained house with fully equipped kitchen with cooker, oven, microwave, kettle, washer and fridger freezer. The living room has two settees and a flat screen TV with an Amazon Fire stick to watch Netflix and other streaming services. Super fast wifi in all rooms. There is a small table and chairs in the living room for eating or work. Coffee table also. Wall lights for ambience aswell as a main light for the living room. A very large double bedroom and a single room, both rooms have wardrobes, drawers and TVs. The bathroom next door to both rooms has a shower and a bath. Toiletries included. All carpeted with central heating, double glazed windows, bedding and quilts and extra quilts. There are also two oil filled delonghi radiators as extra heating for the bedrooms.

Free on street parking right in front of the house 5 steps away. You will see your car from the windows.
The Area and Transport
576 Halifax bus goes from Bradford interchange past the Alhambra with a bus stop next to the ice skating rink. It takes 10 minutes without traffic and runs every 10 minutes during the day to every half hour after 6 pm up to 11.30 pm to Southfield Lane bus stop. It is then 7 mins walk to the house. An uber costs £5 from the door to the Alhambra. You can also walk to the theatre downhill going through a nice park for 10 mins of the journey of a 35 min walk. There is a massive Tesco near the bus stop 7 mins walk away 3 mins drive. Lots of take aways in the vicinity. A post office and media shop in the village.

This space is not shared with anyone else.
You will be taking the house self contained for your own use not to be shared with any other guests There are two bedrooms to the house both with lockable bedroom doors. You will have your own entrance and the whole house will be yours when both rooms are booked for your group.

When booking the whole house as a self contained unit, all rooms are available to the guests booking both bedrooms.

Recycle your rubbish. You can go down the alleyway to number 79. Grey bin cardboard and paper. Blue bin glass, tin, metal, plastic.
Please turn off all lights and ensure all taps are fully off when leaving the house. Do not leave heating on manual. In winter if you have moved the switch to manual, please put back to auto on departure of the house. Thank you.

Always live staying here. It may be a half hour walk ( if you walk slow) but it's a nice walk and taxis are very cheap. Highly recommend x

Thanks for having me, Irene. The neighbourhood didn’t work so well for me, but the walk in was fine and the park very nice. I’d recommend booking in a pair ( and there are 2 bedrooms). I appreciated Irene’s friendliness and communication.

Irene was very communicative and the digs were lovely. 35 min walk to theatre is the only downfall but apart from that, the digs are clean, funky deco and has everything you need.
Would definitely stay again.

Thank you Joe for your kind review. 35 mins walk downhill to the theatre, 10 mins of the journey through a nice park. 7 mins walk to a bus stop 7 mins drive by bus £2 or taxi £5 for a 10 min journey or free on street parking outside the house and if you want to drive to the theatre, £3 parking for 12 hours in the town centre, or as some people do, drive to on street free parking for the day/evening within 5 mins walk to the theatre.
The house was clean and had everything we needed. It’s quite far from the theatre so we took an Uber there and back (around £6 trip). The heating is on auto for certain hours but we got given extra blankets and hot water bottles for the night. There’s a big Tescos 7 min walk away handy for food shop. Thanks Irene

Thank you for your kind review. Taxis are £4.50, buses £2 for a 7 minute journey without traffic. Half hour walk to the theatre, with 10 mins of the walk through a nice park.

Lovely stay. Irene is great and quick to fix any probs. I personally enjoyed my pre-show walk through the park and returned via the main road at night - not much longer than via the park - or jumped in a quick and cheap taxi. Would stay again.

Great stay in a quirky comfy clean house. Well equipped for self catering. Beds are very comfortable in a quiet area of Bradford. 30 mins walk or 10 min drive to the Alhambra. Thanks Irene.

Irene is a wonderful host. Polite, welcoming and easy to talk to. Her house is lovely and in a quiet part of the neighbourhood. If you don’t mind a bit of a walk to the theatre it’s really great value for money. Would definitely stay here again!

Irene is an incredibly gracious host, and it was amazing to have a self-contained space at such a reasonable rate! We felt very comfortable there and loved the funky decor. 30 minute walk to the theatre, or quick £5 cab ride!

Irene was simply wonderful.. Kind and helpful lady. She's happy to bake fresh bread in the mornings. Bedroom -Lovely and spacious. The bed was very cosy! The distance to the Alhambra theatre by car is less than ten mins. Great stay. :) Thanks Irene!

really homely, clean, ideal house - conveniently based not far from town. Irene lives next door and was a lovely host - always available if we needed help...she even baked us bread and picked us up from the station which was super kind! Thank you x
