About these Digs

Hotel

This room has an ensuite with a food prep area. There's is a counter with a microwave and a fridge. Ideal for making a sandwich or quick heat up dinner. There is a cupboard in with plates etc and you could store a few food items... its a nice room but the smallest of the 4 but still very attractive and comfortable.

❌ Cancellation Terms

I will issue a full deposit if the booking is made in advance and is cancelled 30 days before checking in. The deposits are non-refundable if you cancel within 30 days of the booking starting.

Guest Parking

This is very tight but can be used at an additional cost as there is very limited space.

The Area and Transport

These digs are based in a central location. It is a nice clean room that is serviced weekly for you to give you space in time that suits you when you are away at your show. Festival guests are overwhelmed by our hospitality and you will be too....

Lovely stay again, great room, just a little hiccup with the fire alarm going off a few times on the final night at 3am and then couldn’t get back to sleep. Will be back again though. Cant beat the location

A neat and tidy bedsit room with e/s. Exactly as described on the website. Quiet, clean and comfortable. Close to the Playhouse and not too far from the Festival. (£6 / £7) in an Uber. I'd happily stay here again.

It was a good stay in John's apartments, the staff were very friendly and the location to the Playhouse is brilliant only a 5 minute walk. It was plenty warm considering it was December and the bed is very comfy.
The lack of cooking facilities and sink was a struggle for 4 weeks, however this was communicated before hand.
If you are a light sleeper best to bring some earplugs as the walls are quiet thin.
If this isn't too important to you this is a great location for working at the Playhouse.

Great location to get to the Playhouse. Clean enough, and comfy bed. Would obviously have loved an oven to cook but great basic facilities. Found parking a 10 minute walk from digs too (not free, but reasonably priced). Would stay here again!

I had a great stay,
Yes it’s above a sauna, but I had no qualms or bother about it, the bed was comfy and sheets were clean, and hoovered during cleaning.
Communication was great, and I was always asked if I was okay and if I needed anything.
Thanks. Would stay again.

A perfect stay in a perfect apartment for the week. The staff downstairs were extremely helpful and friendly. And John was great at communication and check in information. Can’t wait to stay again next time.

Great digs, 20 min walk to the festival theatre. Super central with lots of shops/restaurants near by and a nice walk into the old town.

Such a bonus having the room cleaned weekly, with fresh bedding/towels etc.

The staff were super helpful and friendly, would definitely stay again.

Stayed here whilst working at the Playhouse. Excellent location for Playhouse. Less than a 5 minute walk. Great room size. Clean and comfortable. Would highly recommend to anyone working at the playhouse. I did see a previous review mentioning a loud generator sound.. I seemed to be in the same room (Room 4) and yes it is very loud. However this is only on during the day. At night its is wonderfully silent. Thanks for a great stay!

Overall a good stay.

Very loud buzzing noise in the day and off through the night.

Nice big space, 20 min walk to theatre.

Had a wonderful stay here. Staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was nice and secure and with the benefit of free parking plus a 5 minute walk to the theatre, it really was a great find. Would definitely recommend.
