Living with Host

What does this mean?

There is a fair sized double room with a double bed. The bathroom is not ensuite but you do have sole use of the bathroom as we have our own en suite.
I supply all bedding and towels for guests.
You have full use of the kitchen and I always make sure guests have some shelf space in the cupboards and fridge.
You can help yourself to tea and coffee.
I work from home and sometimes use the living room as my office but at other times you are very welcome to hang out with us in the living room.
As this is our home, we ask that you don't put photos etc on the socials so as to protect our privavcy.

Guest Parking

There is visitors' parking for one vehicle but we can't reserve it - you will have to take pot luck. That said, there is usually a space. You will need to display a permit which we will give you. There is also plenty of pay and display parking near by and a few free spaces with no restrictions.

The Area and Transport

We live in a beautiful old warehouse - it's a listed building in the area that was once the busy port of Cardiff. We are very near to both the city centre and Cardiff Bay. Cardiff Central railway station is about a 15 or 20 minutes walk from us.
Despite being so central it is a fairly quiet area.

This space is shared with 2 Hosts.

You will have use of a double room just for you (of course) and exclusive use of a bathroom.
The kitchen is shared and you are welcome to help yourself to tea and coffee.
You can join us in the living room if you wish.

Only our bedroom and ensuite is not available.

Other rules

We take off our shoes in the house.
We encourage recycling. Food waste can be put in the green caddy by the sink. Plastic bottles, cans, paper and card can be left on the kitchen table and we will make sure it gets recycled.
Please lock the front door on leaving and entering. Going out you need to lock with your key, coming in lock with the thumb turn.
We are flexible about arrival and departure times - just ask!

I had a lovely, easy stay with Carol and her husband. The bed was comfy. A lovely window with a view of the water. My own bathroom with a good shower and use of all facilities. As hosts they are friendly and kind but give you space to do your own thing. A 15/20 min walk to the theatre, either along a pedestrian walkway or beside the water. Would happily come back to stay.
