Festival Glamping at The Drum, a unique countryside glamping experience at the beautiful Drum Estate in South Edinburgh, perfect for Edinburgh Festival and Fringe visitors, performers, crew and theatre groups. Our furnished bell tents include comfortable mattresses, fresh linen, duvets, pillows, cosy lighting and space to relax after a busy day in the city.
Guests have access to communal hot showers and toilets, a large communal marquee with seating and dining areas, phone charging facilities, fire pits, BBQs, indoor and outdoor games, a pamper area, reception facilities and overnight security. We also offer free guest car parking.
Surrounded by nature and open green space, the site provides a peaceful retreat while remaining well connected to Edinburgh City Centre via regular public transport from the top of the estate drive.

Our glamping site is surrounded by nature and open green space, making it an ideal place to unwind after a busy day at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe. Guests can enjoy peaceful walks around the estate while still being within easy reach of Edinburgh City Centre.
Public Transport - The site is well connected by public transport, with regular Lothian Bus services operating from the top of the estate drive:
Bus 3 – direct route into Edinburgh City Centre
Bus 29 – convenient access to the city and festival areas
Typical journey times into the city centre are approximately 20–30 minutes, depending on traffic and festival activity.

Each bell tent is private to your booking and can sleep up to 4 guests, making them ideal for families, friends, performers and festival visitors. Inside, you’ll find a cosy and comfortable space designed for a restful stay after a busy day exploring Edinburgh.
Guests have access to communal toilet facilities and hot showers, with private individual stalls for comfort and convenience throughout your stay.
Our glamping site also includes welcoming communal areas where guests can relax, socialise and enjoy the atmosphere of the estate. Whether you’re visiting for the Edinburgh Festival, a family break, or a special summer stay, Festival Glamping at The Drum offers a peaceful countryside feel with excellent access to the city.

• Guests must not move tents, furniture, bedding, or campsite equipment.
• Toilets, showers, washing-up areas, and communal spaces are shared facilities.
• Please leave all communal areas clean and tidy after use.
• All guests under 18 must be always supervised by a responsible adult.
• Picking fruit from trees or bushes is strictly prohibited.
• Guests are responsible for their own belongings and valuables.

Health and safety is extremely important to us at Drum Estate. We have carried out a full site risk assessment covering guest accommodation, communal areas, fire safety, walkways, lighting, showers and toilet facilities, and all shared guest spaces.
Our team works hard to ensure the site is maintained to a high standard throughout the Festival season, with staff on site to assist guests and monitor facilities. Fire safety equipment is positioned throughout the site, clear signage is provided, and guests are given important site information upon arrival.
We are committed to providing a safe, welcoming and enjoyable environment for all guests, performers and theatre groups staying with us.
