Living with Host

What does this mean?

Ferry House is my home and I love living here.
The room I rent to theatre peeps is bright and spacious, has a super comfy double bed and a place to hang clothes! It also has a desk, should you feel like writing/studying/working!

The house is home! There’s a sitting room with an open fire, a big kitchen with everything you need if you cook, and a utility room to wash clothes which also has a loo. There is one shared bathroom upstairs Will a super sized shower.
Generally it’s just me here, and Max the cat, but occasionally one of my children might be staying too - there’s a 3rd bedroom for them!
Outside there’s a courtyard garden which often looks much better in the summer than the winter! Ha ha. But, just a short ferry ride across the water takes you to Mount Edgecumbe and there are miles of grassland and woods to explore there!

The house is pretty quiet 95% of the time. I have friends over occasionally and I love baking!

Guest Parking

There’s a free car park behind the house to leave your car for the week … if you’re driving.

The Area and Transport

Ferry House is 30 metres from the sea, on a small peninsula which feels like a village but is only 20 minutes walk into town and the theatre. There is a bus stop outside that also takes you into town which runs every 30 minutes.
Although I don’t swim from the house, the sea at the end of the road (5 minute walk) is perfect for a dip and I go there daily.
The Royal William Yard is also 5 minutes walk away, an old victualling yard turned into accommodation and shops and cafes … it’s a great place to explore and eat and drink.
I love living here - perhaps you’d love it too??

This space is shared with 1 Host and 1 other paying Guest.

There are no locks on the doors - it’s a family house with just me living here. ( occasionally one of my sons may be staying here too!)
We share a bathroom with a super shower and there’s an extra loo downstairs.
All other spaces are for you to use and (hopefully) feel like home.

Had a lovely stay with Jayne and Max the cat. Beautiful home and Jayne was kind and so accommodating of my very late check in. I recommend her to anyone touring who needs a quiet homely atmosphere.

Jayne was a great host who made me feel very welcome and relaxed in her lovely home. A short walk to the theatre and with the sea at the end of the street, this is a fabulous place to stay.
