Living with Host
Refurbished 4 bedroom, 2 bathroom Edwardian house set in the vibrant Ashley Cross area of Lower Parkstone, Poole. Just myself and Dottie my small dog (snoodle - schnauzer cross poodle). Lovely big garden and two patios and hens! Ashley Cross (5 mins walk max and often called ‘The Village’) has many coffee shops, wine bars and pubs, plus quite a few restaurants including Indian, Gurkha and Italian. Less than 10 minutes walk from Parkstone railway station, 10 minutes walk from Poole Harbour and 20 minutes walk through a Victorian park to Poole town centre, Poole Quay and the Lighthouse Theatre.

Parking on drive however sometimes I require access to side gates. Free parking on road directly outside house.

Located less than 10 minutes walk from Parkstone railway station, 15 minutes walk from Poole Harbour and 20 minutes walk through a Victorian park to Poole town centre, Poole Quay and the Lighthouse Theatre. Sandbanks beach is just five minutes drive with a small car/foot ferry that runs across the Harbour entrance taking you to the lovely Isle of Purbeck where you will find Corfe Castle and the Jurassic coast.

You can access most living rooms in the house. This includes a huge kitchen/diner/snug (with log burner) that overlooks the large rear garden. You are welcome to sit out on the patio or explore the garden. There is also a large separate lounge to the front of the house if you wish to have a quieter place to sit. Your own dedicated bathroom, although not en-suite it is right next door to your bedroom.

Karen was a great host, a very friendly lady. The house and room is great very comfortable bed and great shower in the bathroom, very easy to get to and from the theatre either by walking or by the local, close by, bus service. Thanks again. Highly recommend!

What delightful digs! The room is very comfortable and Christina is a thoughtful attentive host and her little dog is friendly and adorable. She might even invite you to visit her hens at the bottom of the garden!

It was a huge pleasure staying at Karen's home. Karen's home is absolutely beautiful, incredibly clean and tidy, and very comfortable. I thoroughly enjoyed staying here and meeting Karen and her wonderful pup Dottie. I would absolutely stay here again! Thank you so much for having me!

Such a gorgeous home in a lovely location. 5 mins from coffee shops and pubs. Karen is a wonderful host and made me feel at ease cooking in the kitchen. Lovely, spacious room, too.

Such a great place to stay! Karen is so lovely and helpful and the place is beautifully clean and easy and Dottie is very sweet! Close to some lovely cafes round the corner and a 20 min walk or 5 minute bus ride to the light house. Thanks for having me!

I loved staying with Karen! The house is beautiful, really cosy and welcoming. And I enjoyed tea in the garden, baths and cooking in the kitchen. Dottie the puppy was an extra delight. It was a wonderful place to stay.

Karen was an amazing host, very generous and helpful, she made my short notice stay much easier. Lovely house as well! Bus to the Lighthouse was easy, and the walk took around 25 mins and was pleasant. Highly recommended.

Karen was lovely and such a generous host. I wish I had been staying longer! A very comfortable space to come back to after a day of shows and only about a 20 minute walk from the Lighthouse, or an 8 minute bus ride.

Lovely house, friendly dog and the made to feel so welcome.
Not that far to walk into Poole, but the buses are so easy with stops within yards of the house.
