Self-Contained

What does this mean?

Hi there

We converted the garage a couple of years ago and lived in it ourselves for 18 months whilst we built our home. It has a shower room and large lounge/kitchen/diner with cosy loft bedroom above. Please note the steps to access the sleeping area are steep and the loft has restricted head height. But you'll be self contained with your own front door so you can come and go as you please without disturbing anyone and all the facilities (shower room, kitchenette and tv) are private.

There's good wifi and the TV is wifi enabled so you can log on to your favourite streaming channels and if you need a printer or washing machine during your stay, just ask.

Please note we do have a cat but he doesn't come into the garage.

Watts gallery and chapel are a short walk away and are well worth a visit. Also close by is Loseley House and with Gertrude Jekyll's famous walled gardens.

Guest Parking

We've got ample parking and can direct you to car parks right next to the theatre and if you've got an EV you can charge it at ours for the price of the electricity.

The Area and Transport

You will need to bring a car; the theatre is a 5-10 minute drive away. If you do want to cycle in, the route is fairly flat but please bear in mind that you'd need to cycle home in the dark.

Farncombe station is a 25min walk away, one stop to Guildford. There is also a bus at the bottom of the road which goes to Guildford once an hour but it stops in the evening so you'd need to get an uber home.

The accomodation is self contained and private with a lockable door. The shower room and kitchenette are private and sole use.

If you'd like to use our washing machine (or printer) during the stay, just ask but this is down in our house in our utility room.

I had a great stay with Nicola & Andrew. The apartment is nice & spacious with everything you could possibly need to hand. The digs are slightly further afield but easily commutable with uber/car. I would definitely recommend!

I absolutely loved staying in this gorgeous converted garage. Nicola and Andrew were so friendly and welcoming. The place had everything I needed for my week, and it was an easy drive to Yvonne Arnaud. Would definitely stay again
