Living with Host
I am offering the spare room in my mid terrace house in Selly Park as my current lodger is moving out. The room is at the back of the house on the first floor and overlooks the garden with woods beyond. I am a carpenter and have made all furniture bespoke, this includes a huge desk right at the window, built-in cabinets for storage that double as a seating area and a very comfortable double loft bed. This is accessible by steps, no ladder, but would still need to be considered if mobility is an issue. See pics.
The house has a kitchen, bathroom with bath and separate shower and a double living room. This is all shared with me, however I am away with work well over half the time and so the lodger has the house to themselves a lot of the time.
The house has broadband, smart heating, digital television, hi-fi etc. It backs on to the river Rea and has a private patio area right on the river. Stirchley is a 10min walk down the river Rea cycle path, as is Cannon Hill Park in the other direction.
I am a sound engineer by trade and have worked on theatre tours where I have used digs before so thought of offering my place up now that my last lodger has moved out.
Rent includes bills.
