Living with Host
A spacious double room with separate bathroom and plenty of storage space. The large, shared sitting room overlooks a wooded area and the grounds of Duddingston House. Wildlife is plentiful from nesting birds, foraging squirrels and deer.
Edinburgh city centre is accessible by an excellent local bus service which connects to all the main theatres. There are also very good cycle and walking routes into the city.
Guests have full use of the kitchen. There is a range of teas and freshly ground coffee available at anytime.

The Area and Transport
The property is located in the Duddingston Conservation Area and is situated at the foot of Arthur's seat, surrounded by the green space of Cavalry Park. It is the perfect place to relax, restore and unwind. There are plenty of beautiful walks and Duddingston village is home to Scotland's oldest pub, The Sheep's Heid and Dr. Neil's Garden, a local beauty spot which overlooks Duddingston Loch.
Please note that the Edinburgh Council Visitor Levy of 5% is included in the price of the room.

Fantastic digs, Andrew and Rachael were lovely hosts. Very comfortable room with sole use of the bathroom. Location was beautiful, felt like you were in the middle of the country side even though you’re actually in Edinburgh. Easy bus route to the playhouse and other theatres or cheap uber. Would definitely stay again next time!

Andrew and Rachel were so friendly, kind, generous, welcoming and helpful. They made me feel instantly at home in their lovely comfortable house. I will certainly book again and recommend them to friends and colleagues.

5 stars all round for me. Andrew and Rachael were fabulous from the off, communication was clear, they were welcoming and friendly for the duration of my stay. As I drive, it was perfect for me to get into Edinburgh only 10-15 minutes away and free parking right outside the home. I enjoyed the grounds around their home and went on jogs in my spare time. It was spotless and peaceful, would highly recommend.

Amazing Digs! Andrew and Rachel are great hosts. Very accommodating and helpful. The room was large and clean. Kitchen spotless with great coffee. The route in to Edinburgh is through beautiful scenery and only 20mins if you’ve got your bike! Highly recommended!

A perfect stay for any theatre person. Very calm and clean with wonderful hosts and beautiful surroundings - had everything I needed and felt very at home. Would definitely recommend and stay again.

A comfortable bed, a strong hot shower, and a bean-to-cup coffee machine. What else could you need? How about tranquil surroundings, natural beauty, and the the most generous hosts a guest could wish for! Andrew and Rachel are hospitality personified, and they made me feel right at home during my month-long stay for the fringe festival. Duddingston is a little haven, yet it's quick and easy to bike into town along the Innocent Railway. Highly recommend staying with these kind and funny hosts.

Andrew and Rachel were friendly and accommodating hosts who were quick to offer help but also respected my privacy.. Their home is set in a lovely part of town which is convenient for both the city and Portobello. It was nice to explore the village of Duddingston with easy access to walks in the area and Arthur's seat.
The room itself is very comfortable and clean and has everything you need for a relaxing stay. I would say that Andrew and Rachel's place is very good value and I highly recommend
