Living with Host

What does this mean?

Double room available in a quiet residential street in Marchmont, close to the Meadows. A short walk to the Kings Theatre, Festival Theatre, Summerhall and Queen's Hall. The Lyceum, Traverse and Usher Hall are about 20 minutes walk or can be reached by No. 24 bus. The Playhouse is about half an hour walk or direct on the No. 5 bus route.

Lots of nice cafes and coffee shops in the neighbourhood and a very handy supermarket on the corner of the street. Warrender Swim & Fitness Centre is two minutes round the corner - with a well equipped gym and lovely glass-roofed swimming pool and sauna.

Guest Parking

Parking is free anywhere on the street after 5.30pm and before 8.30am. During the day there are visitor’s spaces payable by machine, with a maximum 4 hour stay: There is free on street parking about a ten minute walk away. There are a few EV charging spaces nearby.

What a find! Jennet is the perfect hostess. Lovely to chat to but leaves you to it.
She has a beautiful home and my room was spacious, warm and comfortable. Use of the house bathroom, hot fast shower and use of fridge, kitchen etc. A lovely short walk through a nice open park to the festival theatre. You could walk back at night 20mins. Or uber. The bus behind the theatre was unpredictable no9 Edinburgh was a highlight so far . If your at any of the theatres book Jennets you will be glad you did

Such a lovely flat. Very peaceful and in a great area with cafes and shop near by. Easy walk to festival theatre. Comfy bed. Would definitely stay there again.
