Living with Host

What does this mean?

Double bedroom with copious wardrobe space in beautifully refurbished flat, located in the heart of Glasgow's fashionable West End. The flat is extremely close to many superb bars, restaurants, galleries and shops, yet peacefully tucked away on a leaf-lined street.

I live with my partner Grace and dog Elektra. We both work from home (one at our bedroom desk, one at the kitchen table).

Guest Parking

I would recommend not bringing a car since the subway connects guests so quickly to Glasgow theatre's.
There is street parking outside the flat, but it is expensive: £1.15 per 15mins up to 3hrs max stay.
Free street parking generally begins beyond Hyndland train station (example streets might be Whittingehame Drive, Churchilll Drive, Randolph Road, and Beechwood Drive).

The Area and Transport

This is a quiet, leaf-lined street that still is only a 3 minute walk to Hillhead subway & multiple bus links.
Theatre Royal = 16mins (subway)
Pavilion Theatre = 19mins (subway)
King's Theatre = 17mins (bus)
Tron Theatre = 26mins (subway)
Citizens Theatre = 23mins (subway)

Furthermore, Botanic Gardens and Glasgow University both 5 mins walk away.

Please observe quiet hours 10pm-8am.
Please eat in the kitchen (rather than the bedroom).
Please clean up after yourself promptly.
Do NOT put any oil or sauce or coffee grains etc down the sink: dispose of coffee grains in the bin and any other liquids in the tin provided. The plumbing is extremely sensitive.
Do NOT use metal utensils with metal pots: use the wooden spoons and spatulas provided.

I had a lovely week in Charlotte’s gorgeous flat, despite being ill for most of it. It’s a lovely double room in a very nice and quiet part of town. All the shops you could need are nearby, plus the subway which takes you to the Theatre Royal (about 15 mins door to door). Would definitely stay again.
